When did they turn on the lights, on the SuperCarrier? Not the Island but the ones illuminating the cat?

Been away from the boat for a bit but during a recent debug run I saw this…

Should be able to see the director now, without NVG’s (or cranking the gamma up).

*NEVERMIND. Wishful thinking on my part (and time away from the SC)

Ha, you got me excited there for a moment. Oh well, back to using my NVG’s to taxi…

(But take them off prior to the shot so you don’t risk a broken neck in the event of weak cat shoot!)

Awesome MOD alert! Massun92’s asset pack was recently updated to include dynamic lights that are placeable in the mission editor as a static object. I’ve wanted something like this for a long time since the current engine can’t support dynamic lights due to performance concerns. The default lights at airfields don’t illuminate anything. Not sure why ED didn’t give us something like this before.

Before you guys get your hopes up, it only means the polarity bug has been fixed. These aircraft still use the old FLIR system.

It is partially the new one, but correct, the new FLIR is not fully realized in these modules yet. We are hoping the next big update will finish them off."

Have been messing about with the RotorOps mission generator, so far looks very good. would be great with some other players, it has all the sling loading stuff and some tactical elements … not sure how the AI will act when you start sling loading AA assets to the front line, on a side note have found the hind to be fantastic for sling loads … very stable

Ive been trying to work this out this afternoon. How do i spawn a sling load in the mission editor?

Swapping seats in the Tomcat (in multiplayer) works flawlessly. Fire up the engines upfront and get airborne. Then hop in the back and manage Iceman while working the radar yourself. If your BVR missiles fail, hop back in the pilot seat.

I havent tried it in mission editor, but in that rotorops mission thing, its all set up just just hover over to the logistics area, request the cargo and go from there

DCS website is down (502 Bad Gateway), the forum is still up … and unable to log in via the Game so multiplayer is unavailable. :grimacing:

Where are the team located to upload the updates?

OK, 24 hours later I can see how that Q seems to be fishing for controversy. Not at all. They are either still developing in RU and somehow legally uploading to a server in a different country. Or they’ve shifted development to a non-RU 3rd party partner. Or they’ve moved from Moscow entirely. Whatever the answer, it’s impressive that they have found a way.

LOL, there is an actual 5 mission campaign in the link in his description. Now I know what I’m going to be doing tonight while the kids are watching Encanto for seventeenth thousand time. It definitely won’t be talking about Bruno.

I would love to fly the MAD campaign, but in the videos it appears that you are flying for Russia. So I picked up AV-8B Hormuz Freedom and F/A-18C Operation Cerberus North campaigns instead.
