I started working on this Viper livery back in April. Now I finally found the time to finish it.
It’s the 91-0383 Block 50 Viper of the 416th Flight Test Squadron at Edwards AFB.
4x HARMs shouldn’t be illegal now.

Must be a Christmas miracle but someone has given us an updated Phantom model to play with. I’m sure this will get updated and improved over the coming weeks/months so will be fun to watch. The author said he’s also working a certain Russian bomber (probably the Bear). The community is slowly saving us from the horribly outdated models.

I’m hoping they work on an E-2C next. I hate putting an E-2D on a deck with anything before Rhinos.

Just had my first full test flight to see how a mission I’d been working on felt in terms of immersion and such. Mission regards a British GR7 equipped unit having been transferred to Akrotiri Air Base on Cyprus. The first mission is just a familiarization flight in the straits between Cyprus and Syria. The GR7s are equipped with only AIM-9Ms in case Damascus sends out fighters to cause trouble if we enter the Syrian’s declared “No-Fly” zone. Mission is randomized in terms of whether Syrians send fighters or not. This first test the Syrians did not send any aircraft out so was a peaceful sortie. Here are some screens from that sortie. I do love the look of the Harrier.

ED said they’re overhauling the AI FMs, hopefully this won’t be as a big a problem in the future.

When I saw the skin, I knew I had to create some missions around it. The guy who did it also has a few others which are just unbelievably good. Amazing work on his part.
