did few bomb runs during the weekend. the bombs fell off but I guess I didnt see any explosions. probably dropped from low alt !?
be sure to check the Quick Guide to double check all the cockpit switches. plus be sure to release the bombs using weapon release button and not the gun trigger.
Thanks - I followed the tutorial mission guide as regards all the settings and pretty sure I followed their instructions for bomb release, too. I started each dive from 10,500 to 12,500ft and sometimes dived so low, waiting for release, that I barely pulled out in time. I normally leave that sort of stunt for IL-2, usually pulling out so low I give the grass a shave!
One thing I did note was on all but one of my dives, the cursor was bouncing all over the place and even on the one where it remained fairly steady, no bombs gone. This aircraft is quite difficult to hold steady (and donât mention trimming for S&L flight!) but I tried it so many times I was able to do at least 3 steady dives. Yes, I did use the electrical caging as instructed.
Anyway, Iâve ditched the Museum Relic campaign in 2.8 as there are too many bugs. The audio/radio is terrible, often just hearing the odd part of a word from ATC. On the first mission the radio menu disappeared after a few miles, though I still got the occasional campaign message. I just started mission 2 and didnât get a single complete sentence from ATC or anywhere else - just crackles and pops and the odd part word. I couldnât tune the lower ADF frequencies, the dial stopped turning at 410 and refused to go any lower, regardless of band setting.
So as I have 1.58 still installed, I will have a go at the campaign on that, instead. Should be able to crank the settings right up now.
SoooâŠNext weeks Open Beta 2.8 Patch Could be a Doozie!!! Considering itâs been in The Works for more than a month.
Any Speculationon what Goodies it might contain??
Multicore! Itâs going to dissociate the simulation from the graphics processing and that should allow for significant gains in efficiency and untaps a whole bunch of potential for improvent.
Itâs inevitable. Mo Pow-ah means add more stuffâŠright back where we started. Iâve been running tests in âpotato modeâ for so long Iâm used to it, and it looks okay, ish. When I actually turn stuff on (medium+ levels) - wow!
I have no issues with ED putting toy sailboats in there, but I hate them for not doing their research as the sailboats are not periodically correct, nor are they from a toy brand that was commercially available in the Marianas. What were they thinking!? Iâll never buy an ED product, ever again!
I reserve the right to change my mind at the next release though.
Oh I hope you are rightâŠbut I have to be honestâŠA Big ticket item like that with that much change to the core game usually Breaks something fairly significant aswell and leaves 50% of the community on the outsâŠFingers Crossed this wonât be the case
Not complaining on my part, but keeping expectations realistic. Theyâll probably have to shoot out a fair few minor releases before it gets anywhere stable.
@wagmatt has been showing a lot of The Sinai Map in his latest update vids.According to The Developer OnReTech EA access is due 1st quarter of this year.
How about WWII Marianaâs??? This has been in development for quite a while.Maybe we could see the release of this and Pacific Theater Assets Pack???
So long as they fix the shadow banding Iâll be content.
Multicore would be nice, but since the move to OpenXR Iâm noticing much better performance for most of my use-cases (primarily multiplayer, usually with pretty simple missions).
That and the missing overwing vapes on every module. Even free mods. I havenât been able to do fun screens/videos the past month because of that and the shadow banding.
