I just checked the area of afganistan is about 652000 km2 the whole of Germany is only 357000 km2 … that being the case, what is the area of the high detailed stuff in the afganistan map … I woukd hope that ed would either do the majority of Germany in high detail or you end up with a lot of Poland

You do raise a valid point… but the amount of detail for urban areas sees an exponential growth in space required.
Afghanistan has an average population of 61 people per square kilometer compared to the over 240 of Germany.

They did show the inner-German border as well as Berlin-Schönefeld. The rest is anyones guess. Brandenburg is veeeeery flat though so hopefully theyexpand the map much further south and west.

As a Pole myselft I wouldn’t mind getting some Poland in the map as well. There were plenty of soviet air bases present there during the cold war.

Well, to be fair you need Western Germany for redfor targets and blufor CAP/intercept.
Really, it should have SE England in it as well because of the missions that realistically would be staged out of there as well.
As for the Caucasus map…when DCS Black Shark first came out, wasn’t the war with Georgia current? Of course Flanker 1 and 2 had pretty much the exact terrain we’d need for today simulated.
