So my prediction is it will be planned for April 29th, then there will be a last minute delay pushing it to the 30th and then itās a toss-up as to whether they will make that or it will slip to the 1st because of more last-minute bugs unrelated to this map but perhaps the DTC causing CTDs. Heh, same 3 lettersā¦

Notice how in short succession weāre getting mid-mission saves and the DTC. I reckon they finally got the thing to safely write to disc on the fly. Probably a necessity for the Dynamic Campaign game too.
I hope they can get it to do it in a way thag is compatible with paid scripted campaigns. Enjoying @reflectedās work will be so much easier with mid-mission saves.

Glad I offloaded my games storage to a dedicated server! 
(Iām not kidding. I have moved my games storage to a fileserver rather than buy stupidly expensive disks for my gaming PC)

How does that work with the loading times? They are quite long already, not sure how much a NAS (?) will add to that.

Currently running my DCS install on the C drive (1 TB NVMe drive) but I only have 230GB spare on that, I have space for the map on a second 4TB SSD.
Can you run a map from a different drive to the āmainā DCS install?

Good question. I will say that Iāve seen significant improvement in this area since about, oh 18+ months ago. I load maps a LOT (testing things), on a 9YO PC (SSD helps here), FWIW.
Fur Sure. And there thereās what remains to be added to Iraq and Afghanistan (Northern). Musical drives has been a thing for me. Perhaps this year I may be able to afford a new rig gobs of storage space 
Also FWIW, the latest build on my Win10, circa 2016 rig does NOT like running DCS and doing, well, much of anything else (running my code editor and/or debugger). Power off reboot has become a regular thing, it freezes the entire system that hard.
