F-16: GPS/INS guided weapons miss the ASL

Are we finally getting a fix for the F-16 JDAMs?!

I like the idea of this - TLDW: the campaign is set up like a history channel mini-series, in which each mission details a notable real-life Tomcat mission.

Oh snap I need to check out Afghanistan again. Probably need to adjust my sandbox mission since they added scenery objects that I had to build myself or borrow from others.

was just wondering lately

rereading Raz’s books and came to the conclusion that ’ Jungle by the sea ’ campaign should be quite straight forward to develop .

it was , most of the time , all static war on the ground , at least from the perspective of books and missions they flew . no need for moving tank columns etc.

well then , does exist for DCS anything like ’ 100 Missions North ’ campaign ? on any map ? for any airframe ?

I mean something in line with " Hours of boredom punctuated by moments of stark terror " :sunglasses:

I think it’s only with the full Afghanistan (and maybe Iraq) map(s) that we’ve had maps big enough to get the sort of feel you’re talking about? Maybe Sinai as well? So maybe there was a technical block to the jungle-by-the-sea map?

But honestly I like the old games where the map is about half scale, or at least you’ve got some sort of time-warp function to take out the cruise section of the missions!

I think thats the trend , to make it more approachable.

listened to some podcast lately and the devs of some dcs campaign said that iirc at least one of the missions ( maybe more ) is air-start near the tanker , cause even then the mission is like 45mins .

just had a quick throw with the new vehicles in DCS, in particular the scorpion
now there are two positions in there, the driver and the gunner. Do we know if its possible to multicrew ground vehicles yet
and also there may be a bug because I couldn’t get the engine started (now yes I know its an older british fighting vehicle and they do have a bit of a rep for engine issues)

Driver position

gunner position

wags mentions a new un-named helicopter module in development a couple of times
my money would be UH60 blackhawk, but would like to see an osprey( i know technically not a helicopter
)
