Herc is hinted for October. It’s MiG tomorrow.
Lots of interesting stuff in the change log!
MiG-29
Heatblur Viggen fixes
GPS jammer model WIP
South Atlantic by Specter
just got kicked off the update server
I’ve been up and down with it the last half hour.

After the patch, downloading the MiG module is another 4GB.
isn’t it?! wow. ED being right on the money with that.
Notice the “experimental” bit at the end. Noice.
Uhhhh, Walking up the ladder… Been waiting for this for a loooooong time
UGH! Downloading this update is taking foreverrrrrrrrrr…

At least you can update it! I won’t be home until tomorrow evening…
Maybe it will get better, this morning it was a 5 minute wait or so.
I got dropped from the download multiple times last night after about 70/186GB but when I tried again after having a snack and a coffee it was back to 100-120MB/s and done in a couple of minutes
cool !
I get to look at DCS logs more than most casual players (when something I did is suspect) and today is the first time I’ve noticed a ref to Vulkan (wasn’t me this time, I promise
) ) in a different file: cav_log.log.
some previous stuff…
ANGLE Display::initialize error 0: Internal Vulkan error (-3): Initialization of an object could not be completed for implementation-specific reasons, in …..\third_party\angle\src\libANGLE\renderer\vulkan\RendererVk.cpp, initialize:1378.
[1211/161415.280:ERROR:gl_display.cc(508)]
…more stuff
Interesting? or not? Or old news?
I think the issue is my connection… Stopped, restarted, tried rebooting and refreshing the connection. Not improving. ![]()
Mine stopped a couple of times but restarted ok, and that was on the night of release, by no the servers should have settled down, but it shouldn’t matter too much it keeps whatever was downloaded so should just restart from wherever it stopped ![]()
I’ll try again today, launching the Downloader before going to work… Yesterday it netted me a 7Gb total download. Lackluster, considering I need to download 131 GB…
Let’s see today.
Edit: ugh, it seems like it stabilize at around 300Kb/s this is not going to be easy…
I have flashbacks of loading tapes on my Commodore 64 back in the day. ![]()
Need me to send you an usb thumbdrive there bud?
That would be funny…
