The “new info” bits, are rumors that have been circulating since April/May, most of the community simply missed it because they were buried in the RB 2-Parter Cliff Hanger Season Finale Episodes.

But that’s pretty much ED confirming afaik.

I simply stopped believing in NEW DCS Modules coming. Till I saw the Cockpit familiarization video from Wags, I did not get excited about the '29. The nature of the beast is that they show us planes all the time that are as some say “IN THE FUTURE” that never comes. We waited 10 years for the Corsair with all this Hype about “We are NOT Releasing till we have a Whole Pacific theater to give YOU” I spend my time in it shooting traps on the boat. Then there was the MiG-17. This fighter would be one of the best selling modules due to the era and simplicity. It ties to so many eras and is a direct opponent to so many DCS modules right now. La-7 is more believable as they have some DCS module already… I-16 i thinks…
Yes, my expectations and high hopes are in a box under the bed. Right now, I am happy with the toys we have. I thinks the Rafale will be around in the 2030s. Ill be 70+ and it will be a first day purchase with my Social Security check

Yeah, if you would have told me I’d be 70+ and playing a video ‘game’ I might have called you nuts. But, well, here I am (or will be I’m sure) .

“Is Mr. Parsons screaming slurs AGAIN? The guy was a civil rights activist back in the day, what the hell?”

“Hmmm… it’s about 3:30PM, so he’s probably playing Call of Duty online.”

Ooooooohh Ok, now that makes sense.”

Ha! There’s a thread going on now on the Falcon BMS forum about us 60 and older simmers. Lots it appears.

I remember back in around 2000, when WW2 online was just getting going. We had a squad meeting and a new guy showed up, Sailor, I think was his callsign. Said he was 65. I thought, Right on! Good for you grandpa. We used to discus behind his back, that we couldn’t believe that he was still simming.

When I got bumped to be the CO, I always worried that he was going to have a heart attack during big furballs. One night he disappeared during a flight and never joined us again. Never heard back from him. It really bothered me for a while not knowing what happened. His Internet probably dropped and he just lost interest.

That doesn’t seem so old now. I’d give my left gonad to be 55 again

One of my workmates (our FA) texted me a photo the other day of her father, who is 89 with his new ‘toy’. He bought himself a full sim setup with a large curved monitor, Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo and a set of rudder pedals. Evidently he has been having a ball with it. He’s an ex F4, 727 and 747 pilot (plus a bunch of Warbirds) so I am sure the largest learning curve for him will be PC related rather than the actual flying.

You have done your good deed for the day. You made me feel like a 61 year young whippersnapper.

What if DCS and MSFS hooked up and had a baby?

That baby would have four engines, a HUD and lay very spicy eggs…

I’m not going to lie, both would be cool, but a C-17 would be kinda boring though.
