So far more people are preordering just the region compared to the full map than the 5% they were expecting. Not sure how many of those are accidental (at least one person in the comments of this video said they did) but Iā€™m sure most are deliberate, so this experiment was important for them.

Yup, Fulda Gap was my guess too (my most wanted map is Central Europe with cold war gone hot scenario), but instead of the Korea iā€™m guessing Vietnam, because weā€™re getting the Phantom soon.

Iā€™m partial to Korea simply because of Falcon 4. :grin: I remember reading something years ago about why ED was not planning to release Korea as a map. Sure, things sometimes change.

I had a book, which I gave away :cry:, that analyzed potential combat hot spots. Korea was on the list of theaters. TBH, Iā€™m in as long as the theater interests me and the price is right. Call me ā€œeasy.ā€

As much as I would love a central European Cold War map, my guess is that the two ā€˜newā€™ green maps are what we are already expecting:

  1. Vietnam.
  2. WWII Marianas.

Do I think Oman is very niche, yes. Do I think the Strikemaster is very niche, yes. Would I spend money on those subjects. Yes.

Honestly you could probably do a pretty good version of that conflict on Arma.

I wonder how many buy the partial map due to disk space. The two most egregious users of disk space are terrains and Tomcat liveries. My DCS plus dedicated server is nearing 800gb, if not exceeded that already.

I plan on doing some Uninstalling when Stan and Iraq come outā€¦most likely PG and SA map will be on chopping block.
I would love to see a Korea 50ā€™s scenario at some point? F4Uā€¦Early Migā€™s,Saberā€™s ā€¦a Panther or Cougar would be a nice addition as well?
