I’m looking forward to the zipper as well, I believe it’s the G variant they’re modelling (at least, the subvariant of the G that became the C.8 in Spanish service) so I’m looking forward to finding out just how hard the low level strike mission it ended up doing was for it!

I wish I could remember in detail the extensive chats I had with the “former 104 driver turned instructor” on the EF Simulator.

It really brought up what level of mastery ( and how hopeless it was as a bird in the late 90s) required.

The DCS 104 mod was killed?

That’s because of the new Flight Deck Roombas.

Hey, quick question… Where in the DCS installation folders do I find the .exe to launch the… well DCS Launcher?
You know like the Skatezilla app but native DCS?

Because despite doing a full recovery, I cannot launch the game anymore.

/bin ?

I was afraid of that…
It does not start anymore.

Didn’t have much time yesterday but today I’ll try investigate the error code.

I think bin-mt is it now? Didn’t bin have the single threaded .exe which was deprecated?

That’s where my shortcut for the launcher points to anyway. I use the SZ one for the big updates to also purge the shader folders at the same time, the ED one for smaller updates or just to run the game.

No, both bin and bin-mt are identical now, single thread is no longer supported in the current version. At some point the bin-mt folder will be removed.

autumn sale  new trailer! :star_struck:

I don’t think there is a separate .exe for the launcher. If i remember its a tick mark in the options setting.

May be worth going to your saved games folder/DCS/config and opening the options file. Then under misc set launcher to true.

Too true. Everything I want that’s available, I have. Everything I want that I don’t have isn’t available, yet!

Really excited about fog.

Half excited about taxi directors, half worried because it sounds like it won’t work well at all unless the deck is more-or-less empty sans a few AI and statics parked on specific spawn points.

I’d imagine coding that is/was a nightmare…“what if the player does this? Or that? [cos they have no idea what they’re doing]”.

I’ve had many thoughts about this whole ATC thing (which this kind of is, on a tight, compact, scale) lately. IRL pilot’s have to know what they are doing or the system crumbles, really fast.

I’ve tried to take it a bit further but it always ends up [in the above circumstances] with…just ignore the player. You can only give so many “Say intentions” and it would likely frustrate them too.

I wish them luck however.
