I’m more than happy to join you in that minority Paul.
About the only valid point that the whingers have is that they have already paid for it. And HB have acknowledged that by offering not only a refund but a two week post release discount if they change their mind.
Suck it up I say. Release dates for software slipping is normal, that is why some people refuse to pre-purchase.
Seconded, the whole first update read like the they had slept with someone’s wife or ran away from a pregnant girl 19 years ago. “Release date changed by a month, still planning on it being awesome.” All I needed.
I agree!
But look at that explanation though…!
It brings such delicious insight into the process that would otherwise be hidden from us.
In a way this delay is adding value to the product, for me…
I really appreciate their heartfelt explanation…I feel for those guys. They’re doing grounbreaking, new things in DCS that both developers and customers will benefit from…It can’t be easy trying to break boundaries in something so complex. All The Best to Them
If after that post by @nicholas.dackard anyone still makes the entitled baby noise, they out themselves for the bish they are in such a massive way, almost noone dares
I wonder if that browser-in-DCS thing is phantom-exclusive or DCS-wide. I wouldn’t mind looking things up or browsing mudspike in-flight, in-VR at all
If they’d said a 6 month delay, I think the complainers would be justified.
But only like 6 weeks? Pfft! Big deal.
I do see their point in that because of preorders having gone up they had a mindset of “no more than X time between taking money and delivering product” and I think that’s a good mindset for a company that wants to succeed (looking askance at Star Citizen/Squadron 42…).
I that still a thing? Showing my ignorance here but I recall being interested in that, based on the previews and such like, what, a decade ago[1]? Then forgetting about it because it never happened…searching Google…I guess it finally did…maybe:
I see the apoligy as good business practice. it was super polite. A while back i was annoyed that it took so long… Then all I had to do was read the manual RTFM. This is not just a module. it is a redefining of how DCS plays 2 seaters. It is a bunch of features that make this module unique. I would almost say it is redefining how we see and what we expect from DCS. So, yeah… Take your time, get it right and forget the haters. When its ready… We are ready for the F-4E!!!
Yes, on the Heatblur web site. The different editions were at the bottom of their web page. The shirt is pretty cool, but runs about a half size small on me. OK, let’s call it a European cut. . I’ll probably order another one.
