Dude, seriously… Autocannons at angels 12 over Groom Lake, the friday of phantom release week.
Arg! The video is returning “marked private”! Oh well. I’ll try later.
The US Armed Forces want their HMMWV back.
It’s like a bunch of hot-rodder’s, circa 1955, found a spare parts bin and a couple of rockets. Knowing nothing about aerodynamics - or their aero books were in Arabic?. It grows on you.
@Victork2. Yes, hate it for the look. That’s totally subjective. Not every American vehicle can be as (ahem) svelte as a Hummer. But you simply must love it for the noise. When it’s turning hard on the deck at max mil, it sounds like silk being torn on an amp with the dial at “11”. And it seems that the sound designers at Heatblur have reproduced it nicely.
I not the excitable type but after…oh, 30 years of waiting for a really good Phantom to play with…ahhhhh

I kind of like the looks of the F4. It comes from an exciting time in aircraft design and you can see the DNA present from previous McDonnell Douglas aircraft such as the Demon. Also, the F4 just looks so purposeful, powerful and capable. Just looking at it you can tell it means business.
Exactly!
And then of course there is this guy who will forever be linked to the Phabulous Phantom…
Edited, because … well I’m better than that. Apologies.
This is great. Well done @Sport .
Ha! Reminds me…very old friend of mine had this same look when I last visited him while he was still in uniform (early 2000’s) - was like it was a thing [with them]. He sent me this picture years ago - boomer snapped it and sent it to him (somewhere over the Pacific)
If you look close enough you can see the ‘stache’ ![]()
That’s strange … it was playing fine, that was the Casmo video, it was an interesting dumb bombing tutorial
He pulled it as whatever he was showing apparently was bugged behavior. At least that’s what the post on YouTube indicated.
I believe He took it down because there was a bug in the build he is using and therefore the bomb run he was doing would give future Phantom Drivers some bad info and might cause some confusion.
Thank you! I feel very lucky that they trusted me to make some pre-release content. I’ll be sending a “first impressions” video in the next few days. There’s no shortage of love from my folks over here at Mudspike!
Good to see you again @Sport! Hope you are keeping well!
Absolutely! Busy, but enjoying it! Super excited for the F-4, its so damn good
