Ive been good… please?
Promise i wont abuse it…
Omg! Crazy
Do you know what versions he flew?
1300+ hours in the D as far as I can tell.
10 years and 2 studios later the Hun finally gets official.
Are you involved in that? Didn’t you have something like that in the works?
Excellent…heavier than A/C but the flaps gave them better low speed handling according to another ex Hun flyer.
not involved this time around, I have other priorities.
Coming Summer of 2026!
be positive!! or we won’t get updates!!!
Honestly I didn’t realize that was snark, I took it as excitement. Based on the WIP pics and the development cycle of a module, I guess 2026 felt realistic to me. I don’t know if they’ve actually announced an expected release date somewhere, but I wouldn’t expect it before 2025… is that unreasonable, considering the amount of work that goes into an aircraft?
(Totally sincere, no sarcasm or knocking ED or anyone else intended in this post.)
It really depends on the experience and time available per week that the devs have, and of course the module complexity.
But generally I think 2-5 years of active development to early access release is what we see
No no @Maico wasnt being snarky, he was being funny. Standing DCS joke!
I was just attempting the same thing and failing
It looks far off. But maybe it arrives in time for the Vietnam map!
No sarcasm intended. Just keeping it real. Looks very bare bones atm. So to say “See you in 2026!!!” Is realistic. If it released in 2025 i would be very surprised, again because of how bare bones ot looks now. DCS is Not Warthunder or Wings over Vietnam. Its not even MSFS. DCS standards are High. The Hun will be epic, but ill be in my 60s by the time this hits the market. And there is nothing wrong w that.
Honestly, I love this idea! Would probably be the right timeframe.
F-86, MIG-15, F-100D Etc etc etc,
Can all be done pretty quickly, there’s not much computer simulating,
it’s straight hydraulics, simple radar and steam gauges.
No Advanced Computers, No DFCS, No MFDs.
Program your Engine, Electrical and Hydraulic systems,
Those system readouts feed your steam gauges.
Then the switches control the 3 main switches.
That hardest part for them will be the Flight Model and Damage Model.
True, but there’s just as much in terms of artwork.
Same can be said about the F4U… yet here we are years after the announcement.
