I want to use my old Logitech G13 to operate the CK37 in the AJS37. The G13 doesn’t get it’s own column in the settings/controllers menu but I read that I can apply the proper key bindings in the Logitech gaming software by copying them from the DCS key commands list. I also read that the list should be in the users\username\saved games…etc\config\input folder. Alas, I can’t find any key commands list in that folder or subfolder. Where can I find them?
Easiest way to do it is to open DCS and check key bindings for Viggen directly in game. Then Alt-Tab and create a binding in your Logitech software. You can also check if it works when you return to the game.
I just pull up my key bindings in DCS and take a picture with either my phone or tablet. Then I can refer to that as I go through and set whatever I need to with out having to mess alt-tabing back and forth. And I have a handy reference of the key binds I can access without pausing.
Yes, that’s common. You first have to assign custom keyboard bindings and then can use them in your profiling software.
Unless you use something that registers as a game controller in windows. Those can be assigned directly in the game.
Which means that I first have to make a list of already used key combinations and then can start to assign free ones?
Not necessarily. You can come up with keyboard combinations and you will get a warning if it is already assigned to something else.
That’s easier indeed!
Problem solved, but I had to revert to an older driver too, to get it working. For those interested: it is #303.133 64-bit. First test it in Windows Vista settings, otherwise it won’t install.
