“Black Hawk down! We got a Black Hawk down!”
The year this happened I tried out for the 160th. The day all the candidates came for the PT test, they had a display with vehicles and helicopters. The OH-6 was the one I drooled over and fantasized about. This was in '93 and we had just come back from Desert Storm. My unit would not release me due to us fielding new comms equipment.
So is the AH-6J out or is it coming out?

I wanted to thank @TeTeT . I have been having an absolute blast with the VSN F-104C. Chasing MiGs in this is the equivalent of Surfing down Mount Olympus. Jeeeeze! Cannon kills are tough but doable, the Aim-9s are absolutly useless. There are no aids… Its… Wonderful.

I agree! This has all the hallmarks for an official module. I wonder if it’s a copyright issue that makes it stay as a fan mod?

We’re happy to be providing it for free 
. It might sound cheesy but it’s a reward in and of itself.
It’s a small asset pack that will be released with or shortly after the helo, adding a bunch of soft targets that more “manageable” for the AH-6

The F-106 a.k.a The 6 is one of the Sexiest aircraft ever made. Its sleek, has that small waist and long fuselage. The Delta wings and pointy nose make it just look amazing.
The VSN Six is a beautifully modelled “F-15C” wrapped in F-106 clothing. All the same commands. I could not wait to get in it and fly it this weekend. The Pit is nice. Looks like everything is there. Tape type gauges, check. Crazy looking windshield, check. Radar, good to go. VSN has just been bating it out of the park. It’s really a great mod with LOTS of potential.
However, when I took it for a mission, I was not successful. I tried every missile available in about 10 missions. I did not score a single hit. I tried opening the Bay doors manually or letting the trigger open the doors… Zero hits.
I am wondering if anyone else has had a go at this mod and if there is a secret for something I have overlooked.

Not at all! My reasoning for giving the 3D files for the Viggen stick was pretty much the same!
I was just thinking that it’s a popular helicopter, well suited for DCS, why hasn’t anybody picked it up and registered it as a module with ED? I’m not complaining though! I’ll take payware quality for free, any day!

I do love the Delta Dart, I didn’t know they had a mod out for it. I’ll check it out next day or two and see. Though honestly hitting nothing with the AIM-4 sounds about right.

Thanks for the update. You guys did such amazing work with the OH-6A, which has provided countless hours of aviation joy for the community, that I’m sure the Little Bird will be amazing.

Bwahahaha, The Aim 4 is crap as history goes. But in a sim, its a travesty. Can we still sue Hughes? Thanks @jenrick

The OH-6A may not be the most complex mod. However, I would be willing to bet it is neck to neck with the most used mods in DCS like the A-4. Easy to learn, FREE and super maneuverable. This thing rips. Love It!
It’s my go to mod when I just want to have fun Oppa Gangnam style…

Thanks! If you liked the Loach you should love the Little Bird. It’s better across the board. I think the instrument panel is a notch above the Loach in terms of quality (rest of the cockpit still needs some love, though), it’s a more capable platform and it fits a wider range of maps/era.
And we’re also planning even softer targets 
But we probably won’t have a skid-mounted net gun…for the initial release

HELP: Tried downloading the OH-6A from the GITHUB site. everything seems to be going good until i tried to launch the bird and i got the message : “Need modules to load mission”: Vietnam assers pack by Eightball &Tobi” My only excuse is OA
