Flying the mossie after almost 10months

Over the english country side

I was only a few miles off my intended nav point after crossing the channel at low level, I count that as a win!

How did the landing go?!?
You can’t just build up the suspense, like that, and then switch…!

Well we don’t have the Fulda Gap map yet and I love that skin

Thanks, it’s no secret the Phantom is currently my absolute favourite module. It’s a stunning work of art.

Yeah, what initially feels like a confusing claustrophobic cluster of instruments, switches, buttons, and knobs with a questionable outward field of view, becomes comfortable and lethal to your enemy with time. I’m surprised at how good it is in a knife fight with its contemporaries.

I probably killed the pilot. He flew right through the the 20mm burst and the first rounds hit the engine just in front of the cockpit. The Antons armament is very lethal.

Nice pics Derby. It’s been too long since I’ve flown the dub dub 2 aircraft in DCS

Making sure my control profiles are set up correctly on the new rig before next Friday.

Did a short circuit of Odiham:

The radio beacons are working as well.
We can tune in to Whitlands RDF on 3.8Mc/s (3.8MHz) transmitting the Ident letter D, Haine RDF on 3.6Mc/s (3.6MHz) transmitting the ident letter F, as well as the German Bernay Elektra-Sonne RDF on 307kc/s (307kHz) transmitting BL every thirty seconds. The frequency of Whitlands and Haine is adjusted to work with the radio equipment of our DCS Mosquito. The Elektra-Sonne is a semi fictional beacon. The RAF did use Elektra-Sonne beacons as navigational aids but there wasn’t one at Bernay if I understand correctly. These beacons are the same as the ones used on the Project Overlord Server.
