Overheated me brakes.
That’s why the drag chute is there ![]()
I made a poor ergonomic choice in assigning keybinds and pressed “chute release” instead of “chute deploy.”

Looks like you found the road to an area of increased risk.
Heatblur is certainly not without a well developed sense of humor. Me configuring F-14B(U) controls and switched to an external view.
In my mind this Pilot is pulling his reading glasses down ![]()
So an old story in Pensacola went, two instructors, who were out getting some flying done, stopped by one of the outlying fields where there was always a Wheels Watch for the solos.
The watch was usually a student, who held two paddles up when he saw that the gear was down (or waved the flight off if they weren’t) and an instructor with a radio.
The two flying pilots decided to have a little fun with the WW instructor and made contact with the field using a very thick accent and the callsign of a solo.
The WW instructor gave the incoming aircraft the runway in use and waited for his first pass.
Coming around the 90, the front seat pilot bent over as in your picture which prompted the WW instructor to go bananas:
“Hey! What are you doing in the back seat! Go around!”
The “solo” dutifully went around replying:
“Is no problem. I fix.”
Whereupon the front seater sat up and the back seater bent over, making the WW guy think that he had somehow crawled between the cockpits in mid air!
Undoubtedly, the two flying pilots must have let the WW in on the joke at some point, hopefully before he started declaring emergencies and calling back to base trying to figure out how to get this “student” safely back on the ground!
Pretty funny. Love those stories.
