Desk Mounts - What to get?

I’m worried about his IPD…

I just pushed the nub all the way in. He was elated, dunno if it really worked for him. He did report seeing rivers and meadows and stuff, so the thing must have been working for his six year old head. :vr:

Or conduit…

Sorry, I was just kidding about the googly eyes. :eyes:

My daughter loves VR, although prefers Job SImulator over DCS, even trying the Viper didn’t win her over :stuck_out_tongue:

I let my son try out my Rift a few years ago - I think he was maybe 6 years old. I showed him the Rift intro stuff and he loved it. Then I was playing a really crappy game called Raptor Valley that basically just puts you in some high grass with a flashlight as dinosaurs sort of move around you…kind of creepy. My son wanted to tr it, so I put him in the beginning levels where you just have to shine a flashlight at them, but it escalates into them trying to get you. The narrator implies that everything is going to be alright, and then a raptor jumps out of the grass. That set my son off into tears and he looked it me and said “Daddy, that lady lied to me…” It was so precious.

His total time in VR to date is probably only about a couple of hours though. And 95% of that was in Beat Saber. No violent stuff…some flight sims, but in the next year or two he’ll probably inherit my old Rift or hopefully my old Odyssey +.

Have him try Job Simulator, there is a demo on Steam where you can do the office worker, my daughter loves that one.

My grandson (9) is always on me to let him fly my DCS VR rig . I relented the other day , setup the Rift and let him fly the Hornet .
This kid , like so many his age, is not into patience , but was determined to land the bird . After 4 or 5 passes learning the speed/glideslope/lineup thing , darned if he didn’t set it down on the first try !
Ran off the end of the runway , but only because he couldn’t reach my toebrakes  Flight sims as patience-teachers !
I was so impressed i got him a couple of sims and a Hotas 4 for his PS4-so i can have my sim back ! Gotta feeling i’m gonna havta spring for PSVR to keep control of my sim though

That’s great. It warms my heart any time my son shows me something airplane related on his iPad or Kindle.

Thank you for your creative design!
I was going for a desk clamp when I came across this post and was inspired by your solution.

Just got some plastic drainage pipes from the local DIY shop and I am pleased with the concept build (still without any glue, so there is still a little flex in the system).
