Elite Dangerous 2024

This brings up a good point, if you take more then the colonization ship needs, you are stuck with it.

I had to jettison 13 tons of Aluminium because we met the requirement and nobody in the area wanted it.

OKay, doing my first trip with my Sorcerer.
I bring some stuff… it’s not a lot but it should help.

Mainly I wanted to do a quick dash so I could “read” the progress of the Construction.
SInce I was never there I couldn’t access the System map.

Ain’t it a brual beauty?

Some of the missing goods

I played a bit of elite tonight and looking down at my legs, the scale is way off. Like I’m eleven years old again. Anybody know what slider to tweak?

Graphics options FOV?

Wait, in VR or Pancake?

Looks like we are at 83%

Here is what is left to build

And here is what was left in the carrier

There has definitely been some unauthorised purchasing of commodities. Here’s what is outstanding:

I will jump the carrier to Kano in a minute, about 110LYs away. We can load up on steel, titanium, and composites there. I’ll jump her back tomorrow once loaded up.

I’ve also enabled squadron only docking permissions so this won’t happen again.

EDIT: Jumping in 17 minutes. I’m off to bed shortly. I have put buy orders on for everything we need. Feel free to load her up. I will finish anything outstanding in the morning then jump her back to Gamma Muscae.

o7 guys.

I am puzzled then.
The only thing that pops in my mind is that you have new VR headset - so that means that probably? you should check the options/graphics and see if the resolution is matching the specifics of the visor?

 I don’t know what else it could be but then again I’m not too much of an expert.

In other news I am mightily impressed by my Federal Corvette.

The small stroll around the block from Shinrarta to the Colonization ship was dotted by the occasional Space pirate attracted by the very lucrative Shinrarta Waters I was carrying exactly as bait in my cargo hull.

It was an hilarious power trip, to be fair. Yes I wouldn’t las t a second in PvP but in PvE even my un-engineered Sorcerer is an absolute beast.

Looking forward to more of that. :sunglasses:

Right, I’m on my way back to Gamma Muscae with everything needed to complete the station. ETA about 13 minutes. Finding insulating membranes was a PITA!

Brilliant!
What base did you go for the first build? What’s the overall plan?

I think I chose an industrial outpost for the starter station. The overall plan is … I don’t have one . I would like to build an asteroid base or maybe two, and I think a predominantly industrial / military economy fits in with the Mudspike theme. Beyond that, I am open to suggestions.

Welcome to Pollas Holdings, soon to be renamed Roanoke Outpost (or something similar):

It’s a bit dingy inside but should come alive with next week’s Thursday tick (I think):

Hooray! That’s so cool! We have our first place guys!

Now- I think a good thing to have would be a station that allows also Large ships- even if the Medium of this one allows already operations with the Python, which is my best mining ship.

I agree. I think we will have to get some small installations and surface sites going. When I look tonight I will start construction of a few things - I think we can build 5 things at once but I’m not sure. We will need 3 Tier 2 points to build a Coriolis starport or asteroid base, which should only require a couple of things to be built.

Wondering if we should do a planetary outpost or hub next. Would give us a large landing spot and cmm composites i think.

This is the place?

I ABSOLUTELY agree with this - we need an in-system CM composites source.

I have had every intention of helping, but we have had some issues with our ISP. I haven’t even been able to speak with tech support, but considering each time I have called I was at least number 25 in the queue and after being on hold for nearly 30 minutes have moved maybe two or three places… I think I am not alone. It probably related to the recent cyclone in South East Queensland and Northern NSW (we normally connect through a ground station in that area) and that is about the time I started seeing issues. And geolocation currently has me bouncing around to obscure parts of the country

The problem is manifesting as socket issues - not establishing a connection, pages timing out etc. For example I had to close and reload this page three times to get it to fully load, I haven’t changed any settings, have even tried my old (spare) router that still works, and it is the same issue for the PC and laptop. But I still tried connecting without a firewall or AV just for troubleshooting purposes. Nada.

Just tried to launch ED again this morning and after 5 minutes I was still looking at this:

Nope. Type in Gamma Muscae. If it points you about half way to the coalsack nebula then thats the one.
