Elite Dangerous 2024

Oooh! Nice!

£10 for a station skin seems a bit high to me. Unless they work like ship skins where you can reuse it for as many ships as you like.

Fudge… I admit they do look nice with a coat of paint.

Darn, we gamers are pretty vain.

The interesting stuff starts at around 47 minutes in:

EDIT: I’ve no idea why that link won’t resolve :man_shrugging: Here’s Ricardo’s take on the Panther Clipper:

Just thought I’d post a quick update. Since the patch yesterday I have access to more information about the economy in the system. Here’s Roanoke Outpost:

And this is for Havloks Pride:

Plus, the population has increased about 10 fold and is now over 400,000!

Continuing with the construction, I’ve managed to get the planetary outpost about 1/3 done. I could really use a Panther Clipper about now . Hopefully once it’s operational it’ll produce some composites and metals, but we’ll see:

About our new home system- while ferrying stuff to complete the Asteroid base I noticed the large amount of pirates going about.

I was thinking to do some “cleanup” this weekend.
Take my Federal Corvette" Sorcerer" and hunt down outlaws.

It would be interesting to see if it impacts system security.

That sounds like a great idea. I had some trouble with interdictions yesterday whilst ferrying to the ground site. The pirates were numerous and quite trigger happy, and altogether rather annoying.

I haven’t really engaged with the BGS before. However, if the pirate situation is too annoying I can put down more security / military installations which should help improve the security level. Or we could actively work to lower the security level and create a retched hive of scum and villainy . There is an option to build a “Pirate Base.”

I wouldn’t want to burden the System’s economy with more installations. It could actually be rewarding to spend some time bounty hunting.
Just incase anyone would want to join me this weekend- Two ships flying together can definitely clean up more efficiently.

EDIT: Plus I didn’t “fly” co-op Elite in a long time.

If my internet connection holds, that is. :frowning:

Not doing great on that front - I wanted very badly to join the DCS flyover Germany but it just doesn’t hold.

After quite a bit of grinding hauling I’ve managed to get the ground port on moon 12G finished. As such, we now have a source of CMM composites (hooray :tada:)!

I did manage to take a short break from hauling this week to do a bit of platinum mining in the CG. I managed to get about 250 tonnes per hour, or about 125 million credits. Not bad considering I’m quite rusty.

I just happened to bump into this platinum core:Z

Wow! Amazing shots… I’ll be putting some of these in my sadly very large desktop backgrounds. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Great shots!

Good news, looks like my throttle will be here mid next week. That means I should be back in game Next weekend!! Really not looking forward to key binding a new HOTAS though.

Going to outfit the Cutter for mining and going to give my Corsair a try.

Are we still building up the system?

Yes, but I don’t think there is any rush at this point. Feel free to pitch in with some hauling as and when you fancy.

I have completed two more agricultural settlements on 12A, and we’re currently building a surface port there to link with them. Once that’s completed we should be able to produce most commodities on our own :crossed_fingers:.

After that, I’ll put down either an Orbis or Ocellus T3 station, which will require a lot of hauling to complete. Also, if anyone has a particular request for what to uild I’ll try to accomodate.

Here’s the current state of my system planner:

The green ones are completed, the four below them are in progress. Once we complete Nguesso Biochemical Centre we will have enough T3 construction points to start the Orbis or Ocellus. I have to say I’m not looking forward to the 300 or so trips to complete that one.

Composites, polymers, metals etc. are available from Thompson Prospect in large quantities, some useful industrial products are available at Roanoke Outpost, and once Flanagan Dock is complete there should be a lot of agricultural products available there. I hope.

Just a PSA but the current community goals are pretty good.

  • 1x of each 6A/4A/3A/4D/3D pre-engineered power distributor, with both system and engine focused modifications.

If you are in the top 75% you can double the above

Looks like its active for another week and 3 days.

I might be able to participate…depending on UPS.

I signed up for the CG in Winiama and delivered a small load of semiconductors. I made the trip in open, I don’t know why, and I noticed a lot of unusual player activity there. I was tailed briefly in supercruise heading for Bowersox Port, but the expected interdiction never came. When I dropped in at the station there were about a dozen CMDR’s patrolling the mail slot. I managed to slip in and back out unmolested, but I heard and saw a fair amount of pew pew and at least one ship being destroyed. I was puzzled, but I think this may explain what was going on:
