Apparently they don’t use traditional clutch plates on the tractors anymore, using clutch packs. I can’t get my brain to think how they work.
The knock on impact is clutch plate spares are coming hard to find.

Yea that’s right. I’ve not had much to do with newer stuff save to say that it’s all fluid controlled bit like a torque converter.
Curious to know if anyone picked up FS22 and what you think of it so far.
My 5 year old says “it’s rubbish because my mods don’t work”
Thats a direct quote but he’s not a games reviewer and is notoriously hard to please.
I haven’t sat down to play it yet but I had a phonecall from a frantic child the other night asking if I’d deleted his low loaders and dump trucks because they don’t show up in the store.
Trying to explain mods to a 5 Yr old is very difficult.
Its not bad. Some issues here and there. Uou can tell its a different engine. Colors seem more vibrant. Seasons is implemented in a way that doesn’t make it extremely hard.
Production chains are interesting but to really use them you need to produce a massive amount of grains.
Curious what makes it not as great as it first looked?
I don’t have time to play with the other games I’ve got right now but I’ll be picking it up for sure.
Not yet.
My kids are distracted by other games right now and that way I can wait until it is a bit more polished and a few mods are available.
He’s 5. He has no idea lol
Oh. Totally misunderstood that. Haha.
Just some quick screen shots.
Mulching between olive rows.
Subsoiling after mulching
My Olive setup, I had to take out a $750K loan to get it…
And my Main farm, Currently sunflowers but close to switching to potatoes
I do hate the way you place olives and grapes. Its one row at a time so its hard to get the row spacing the same.
It’s nice to have more uses for small tractors though!
I had a good bit of fun with smaller tractors and potato crops in FS19.
Now that it’s been out a bit, anyone have any opinions on FS22? Is it worth the upgrade from FS19 (which I played the least out of any of the FS I have owned)?
I still havent played it either, but I heard that the step from 19 to 22 is greater than the 17 to 19 one.
I actually have the most time in FS15 by a lot (a couple of hundred hours), I don’t think I even put 100 hours into FS19. There honestly wasn’t enough new in FS19 or FS17 that I couldn’t get in FS15 with mods, and waiting for the mods to be updated for FS17 or 19 meant I might as well play FS15. Forestry in FS17 was really the big jump for me, and I spent a lot of time felling trees in FS17, far more than I did working fields. The addition of cotton to FS19 was intriguing, but ultimately I found it didn’t add much to the game, versus some of the harvesting, bailing, and processing mods that had been around since FS15 for hay and other crops. Going with just round balers for cotton processing really cut down on the machinery used, and removed any decision making on how to harvest.
My son is itching for 22 but looking at the downward trend in mods for 19 vs 17 i dont see the point until its super cheap.
As an added point, we got 19 for free on epic so they will struggle to beat that for price and value
22 has some different stuff going on. But im not sure it warrants an upgrade, Lots of mods are now part of the vanilla game, For example gear boxes, seasons(watered down abit) a courseplay type AI helper almost. Production chains.
It does add things too though, rolling. mulching, grass rolling to name a few. Tomorrow April 19th precision farming comes out. adds a whole new layer of stuff if you wanted it, Spot herbicide, variable fert, variable seeding.
New crops, Grapes and Olives are different.
So depending on what you are looking for 22 could be better. Also 22 is Giants first self publish. Which gives them a bit more freedom.
Personally the extra time taken is between games was used well IMHO.
Some recent screen shots from game
Thanks that definitely helped. I think I’ll wait until it goes on sale, then I’ll add it to the collection.
Its worth noting that there is a year 1 season pass. It has 4 dlcs in it with the 4th one being a map expansion fall of 22.
So it might be worth waiting until later this year.
