Also if you’ve never been around it (full time LE here) violent death is incredibly putrid.

I can’t compare your experience with mine but I went to a cattle slaughterhouse for my 7th grade school sanctioned field trip no less. To this day the smell when they started slaughtering the cows is a smell I can’t forget and that is beyond my ability to describe with words. Knew within 5 seconds it was not a profession for which I would be suited.
