Also..I’m reading on the ED forums that some servers are getting mass kicks when the C-130 or other cargo planes are unloading. If anyone sees that behavior (a kick right after unloading..) let me know..just trying to see if we can pin down a root cause. Could be random though. Lots of zeroes and ones flashing about.. Frankly I’m amazed any of it works..

I have not experienced a single disconnect on the server so far. Me going offline was very much intentional. The fires are a problem, though.

I had a very great session with @komemiute, with first..
.. an air assault. we would deploy troops on the Turkiye coast, a few dozen clicks south of Incirlik.
He really had to pace himself. Waaay to fast for my fat hip.
Gogo.. What happened next is that the MiGs were very unhappy with us. @komemiute is too stealthy and evades detection but I don’t..
They strafe my chopper as I, in desperation, land and tell these troops to hop off.. everyone is killed on the spot. ALL troops and ALL pilots with the engineer.
@komemiute is still in the area. I take off in an F-14 to keep him safe from such aggression. The Migs show up again later and I shoot them down (no screenies..)
He comes back to the Tarawa and lands that thing perfectly where it is supposed to be landed. He loads up more supplies and moves back to Turkiye while I keep some foxbats at bay (they never really wanted to play).
thought I had time on my side for an RTB, refuel and rearm… but @komemiute is so fast he even already set up the base before I made it to the boat.
#3 wired it on the boat from a long straight in.. More luck than anything else, and following needles. It was a good time to call it. Hopefully I’ll be back on the server in a few hours!

We broke it.
Server seems unresponsive.F10 menu not working. AI flights frozen in the air.

Likely related to the data export map trial with the web viewer (so we could see via a URL what was going on). It caused a brown out in the whole tri-cities area: Too much data in the mission, and it killed the whole DCS server I think. We had to try it the once, sorry.
Anyway, here’s what it looked like (we obviously won’t be using it)

Absolutely, at some point. The TLDR? Shilka shot. peppered my nose and tore of the canopy. Compass spinning faster than a fidget spinner, @BeachAV8R talked me home. Last problem? Hydraulics were dead. Fortunately for emergency gear and emergency hook. what was not nice… no flaps and thus also no DLC…

DCS crashed on me, before you dropped on the runway. I get a crash in DCS every couple days if I’m on it for couple of hours or more, so that was probably on my end. Though if the entire area lit on fire, it probably would have dropped me off anyway.

Another fun day/evening dabbling on the server. Pretty much the entire day was focused on taking Incirlik. Starting at the crack of dawn..
I was largely ineffective in the Hornet…so I stupidly thought I could do some damage with the Ka-50 and it was a much shorter commute to “work”…
Well..that didn’t work out so well. Got taken down early by some sort of SAM that I saw coming…
But I had to pee so bad..I wasn’t really disappointed that I had crashed..
@Sryan doing great work keeping the air threats away and taking out a RED resupply aircraft..
He did some Bomb-Cat action and took some hits from an SA-8 I think… It was exciting watching him sort through all the issues and he eventually brought the severely disabled aircraft back to the deck!
@PaulRix flitted about a bit on the OH-58 (we were all mapping controls I think)..and @fearlessfrog soon showed up to try out the Apache..
@Sryan parked his F-14 back on the carrier and then joined @fearlessfrog as the gunner..it was fascinating to listen to..
They did good work at Incirlik and eventually turned it NEUTRAL as I was about 60 seconds out in the C-130. Unfortunately, I couldn’t figure out how to load Zone Supplies in the Anubis C-130 (??)..so I had just thrown some big crates in there…
RED gave a bit back too…
They had to pee too…
Short final in the C-130…

@fearlessfrog and I waiting while @Sryan grabbed an Mi-8 and brought some REAL Zone supplies in…

@fearlessfrog flying with me manning the gun. Took us a few sorties to clear out all of incirlik, none of them ended up in fields and none of them ended upside down!
Last target prosecuted. Really love this desk and how I can help in navigation.. Working the systems went great but I really don’t know enough about this pit to be truly perfectly helpful at all times.

For that shot and having to pee, it was a bit too late at that point - let’s just say I didn’t catch fire for lots of reasons.
I loved having Non AI @Sryan rather than AI George, so much better!
