I have recently installed the AB9 base with the MH16 grip. I am unable to get the force trim to work in DCS, MSFS2020 or 2024. When I check in the control bind pages of all 3 sims, I can see indication that the trim switches are being activated but no effect in the aircraft. It appears as if there is a switch has been missed that actually allows the force trim buttons to work has not been turned on. Has anyone else had this issue and how did you fix it?
Thanks.
I will try to test to see what I can do.
I think I can help and btw, I think I just figured this out. In order to follow along you must be on the latest build of the software. 1.1.1.30. Ok, go to the software and click the AB-9 base. You can go Home/AB-9/ Then find SPECIAL at the top. Turn on Hardware Trim Mode. This opens up the Trim Hat and two more buttons (Force trim and Recenter). There you must click on the buttons in the software using the mouse. You can now press the button on your physical joystick to where you want these inputs. I believe this will allow you to use it in game.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks, That appears to be the problem. I found nothing in the istructions (or I missed it) that explained it. I have been dealing with MOZA support for around 6 weeks now and that was not discussed. I really appreciate your help!
I’m glad I could help. There were lessons in here for me as well. This could have been a placebo, but I will test more. I found that if I program this said button and program the game with the same buttons, the Huey (at least) flies smoother.
The problem with products like these is that the company probably hires people who don’t use or care about the product for support. Feel free to ask us around here. Glad you are ok now. Don’t forget to look at Chucks guides and put some curves in.
Also pick the UH-1 profile in MOZA software. It makes a world of difference.
To find it at the Left bottom there is a cog, then an arrow then 3 lines. Click that and then at top pick AB-9 then DCS World then the UH-1 or whatever you are flying. This made a big difference to me
Thanks, will do.
