It looked interesting until I realized it was 3rd person only. For some reason, there are very few 3rd person games that appeal to me. Tomb Raider, Assasin’s Creed and Valheim being some notable exceptions.
I’m the same. They just don’t do it for me
I know I know- feel the same about 3rd person view.
Only one game like that worked for me: the initial Splinter Cell trilogy.
And Dead Space 1 and 2.
And Space Marine.
oh and Alan Wake and Max Payne 1 and 2 and Control.
Ach, also the Mass Effect trilogy!
Resident Evil 4 too…
Also Spec Ops the Line worked fantastically in 3rd Person…
Grand Theft Auto too.
Red Dead Redemption 2…
Mafia I and II…
some of the Hitman as well I must admit.
— jokes aside I think the main point is that a realistic survival shooter doesn’t really benefit from the third person view.
Most of the game I mentioned are more arcadey than what Vigor seems to be.
Even if a lot of the shooting is don aiming down the sights…
Vigor is like EFT in the way thats a realistic (without zombies and monsters) shooter where you enter into an open world map, loot items in a PvP mechanics where people need to extract from the map to save the loot. If you die you loose all.
Except EFT what other game is like this in upper description? Vigor.
All other shooters not have the mechanics of loot map and extract with your loot lost if you die in a PvP open world.
The main core feature of this game is extraction loot shooter with permadeath in a realistic world. Vigor is much more close to EFT than to Fortnite where you also play in 3rd view…
Also exist other one “hunt showdown” but that one is with zombies/monsters.
So, Vigor comming to PC is very good to make competition with EFT.
Yesh..i hadnt realised how many id played till now.
Have you tried gta5 in first person. Its intense
I was going to say the same, Them I read @komemiute list and realised that for any melee heavy games e.g. Witcher, Space Marine, etc I actually prefer 3rd person… BTW have you seen the trailor for Space Marine 2? It is freaking awesome ![]()
I watched it this afternoon funnily enough. Looks really good
Guys, you can aim down sight first person by pressing a button.
Initially I had the same thought, but…
If Helldivers 2 would be a movie, it would be Crank. Mixed with Aliens, Terminator, Starship Troopers and a few more heavy weights of pop culture.
You don‘t have time to worry about perspective.
Seriously, you‘re missing out on the most fun and best implemented coop game ever. It‘s good on all levels. My rating: ![]()

(Sorry, must be positive to not be court-martialed by super earth authorities)
Man, I haven’t played Fallout since… part 1 I think, 1998 or so.
There was a time limit and I didn’t make it since I love to explore, do side quests, and take my time.
Never touched another game of the series.
Watch the Fallout TV series (if you haven’t already)… Or not, doesn’t really matter. Get Fallout 3. Play ![]()
I am having so much fun and IMHO definitely one of those classic games that has stood the test of time.
On it, ep 6 and it’s slowly starting to grow on me. ![]()

I literally cannot.
I just put 80 hours into X4 and just scratched the surface.
I’ll buy Manor Lords 100% , it is my most awaited Steam release.
I won’t play it yet though (or try at least). Too much on my plate and the game is still quite incomplete.
Following with interstate though.
Edit: interest, not interstate, lol. Stupid autocorrect.
lol, I still haven’t finished the tutorials
Then @Victork2 comes along and lets me know that Fallout 3 now works on Win 10. Now you show me this, looks like a medieval ‘Cities Skylines’ meets ‘Total War’ which will be really cool… I hate you guys ![]()
For the record, I had nothing to do with this. Just saying. ![]()
But… Mud runner Expeditions is on sale right now.
Chivalry 2 is free on Epic Game Store
Getting used to the reaction time required to win takes a little while.
