Game Deals & Book thread

It does sound awesome.
It was the titles that were causing me problems.
The vr aspect does sound intriguing.
Even on the website I found it difficult to work out which version I should be playing.
I am on the fence about getting the mk9 spit on dcs or maybe trying a different sim…
Tbh I’m having such great fun in the hip that getting anything else seems very silly at the moment.
I waited soooo long for the tomcat and I haven’t touched it really. I think I have 2 hours in it. I’m already at 7hrs in the chopper.
I tried it in vr for the first time last night. I wasn’t expecting much at all. WRONG. I felt like I was actually in a helicopter. That’s a first.

Ubisoft’s Steep (a snow sports simulator, free roam mountain X-games thing) is free today:

A pretty nice game, about 27 GB install size, with the DLC upsell minimal, in that the base game contains more or less everything.

Shred some bro, I guess?

Free weekend on Steam for The Golf Club…and on sale for $19.99… I think I’ve gotten a great value out of this game. I’ve really enjoyed it…

30% off the VR game Contractors. Seems like the kind of thing the Onward and Counter Strike players might enjoy…

For once. I think I’m actually not seeing anything I really want. Mostly because I already own a ridiculous amount of it. The only thing still on my radar there is the A320 Ultimate. I’d still like to get that, but I’m still not there yet on that price point…even though I know it is worth it given the depth of modeling.

I picked up the JustFlight Duchess (link) and the VSKYLABS Guimbal Cabri G2 (link). I was really interested in how the JustFlight modules are for documentation, fit and finish, etc and I wanted to get an ‘entry level’ helicopter

Oh man, looks like all the VSkylabs planes are on sale at the Org and on their website:

I won’t be able to resist picking up a couple on my wishlist any longer (SF-25C)

That’s great to hear, hopefully the virtual version will match reality, I picked that up and the G2 heli, both have been on my wishlist for a while now, looking forward to flying both.

You can’t help but feel like a badass in a FALKE

My first fixed wing flight was in a Falke when I was an Air Cadet. It was called a Venture by the Air Cadet organization. The VSkyLabs version is great to fly. Just don’t expect to go anywhere fast. :sunglasses:
