Get DiRT Rally for free

Just a heads up, if you never picked up DiRT Rally you can do so for free for the next 2 days, looks like you just have to sign up for the humble bundle newsletter. I imagine you can unsub right after as well.

Even without steering wheel?

The Xbox 360 Joypad for me is perfect.
Allows for much faster countersteering.

Now, if I just was any good at racing games…

With a force feedback wheel, a buttkicker, and VR it should be magical!
I have VR and a FFB wheel so that’s 2 out of 3. Excited to try it.

Vr and 360 pad for me. I’m utterly useless at this game but I do love a good blast in the rally cross cars

Let’s not rub in the VR factor here, was excited to try it out when i was waiting for my headset to arrive back when, only to find out once I loaded it up that it was only for Oculus.

Shouldn’t it work with some emulator software, too?
The loss in frame rate shouldn’t be too bad as the game runs very well on modern PCs

Meh, free-ish is free-ish. My primary email has been shared across spam for almost two decades by this point anyways.

not impressed this game launches oculus every time I run it. Also that I have to unplug my rift to play it outside vr mode. That is some lazy lazy programming. I see there’s work arounds, but seriously.

Isn’t that the same for most games?
DCSW does that for me, too.

Just use Skatezilla’s app . It is my one stop launch pad for starting DCS both in VR or 2D, and updating it too. It can do much more than that as well.

I think he was referring to Dirt Rally, I just compared it to DCSW. Good hint though, I haven’t installed the tool on that PC yet.

LOL, for some reason I had it in my head we were talking DCS… my bad.
In my defense, my brain is pretty fried. I had a long day yesterday: LEBL-LEIB-KBED and then airlined back to Austin.

Well, you didn’t think Oculus was going to pay them all that money to only support their VR headsets natively and not do something like that :stuck_out_tongue:

The starting in VR all the time is just a regular box to uncheck.

This is built into dirt, it’s not a steam thing.
