HeadTracking..OMG!

32” is big? I’ve been running a 60” 4K for the last few years and I guess I’m spoiled because 55” is my new minimum acceptable spec. The main benefit to going 4K is that you can take advantage of larger screens anyway!

You want to get away from that “looking through a porthole” feeling? Grab a 55”.

Me, first time using Track iR = Wow, this is amazing…this is the only way to fly on DCS!!

Me, first time using VR = WOW, I’M INSIDE A HORNET…I AM ACTUALLY FLYING AN HORNET.

I am 50 next year, and all my childhood dreams are fast becoming reality.

Thanks appreciate the offer but I’m good for now! I’m in Singapore btw.

Yeah, the arms race is never ending. My current rig is pretty decent as I only bought it in Jan. I’m thinking of an additional 16GB RAM. I created this training mission for myself with tons of ground units and it started to stutter. I read that more RAM may help.

I was kind if hoping that someone would make a new head tracker, based on the systems used by VR. The tracking of TrackIR isn’t exactly flawless… I remember some frustrating moments where the view flipped over and moving close in made the tracking hard to control. I found out that putting the sensor behind me and turning the track clip around, improved the tracking.
The tracking of my old Rift and my current Rift S VR sets is much better.
So there’s room for improvement in the 2D head tracking market… Haven’t heard anything from Naturalpoint, or others for that matter. Maybe they are holding off and waiting for VR world domination…? But looking at the stats for VR usage, there should still be a big market for 2D head trackers.

Ah ok! Nice.
Anyways, should you at any time feel like taking the Track IR my offer will still stand.

Take care and have fun!

I didn’t know TrackIR was compatible with FS2020! Sweet!

I am too young for VR… but too old for head tracking I guess.

I still use ‘mouse look’ to look around the virtual pit
