Plus it would be realistic. In the 2004 STENNIS CSG JTFEX (Joint Task Force EXercise), we flew misssions deep into “Country Red” aka NTTR. It wasn’t at the same time as a Red Flag though…just ground based threats.
We flew from the Southern California Operations Area (SOCAL OPAREA) which includes the ranges on San Clementa and St Nicholas island.
It would make for a nice map.

Judging by the screenshots posted earlier, I’d say this thing is on schedule to be the best looking module to date. The hornet is great, but this looks even better. I hope the sounds are as good or better as well. I know the viggen has some good switch sounds, but the engine and start up sounds are pretty basic. Tomcats have a pretty distinct sound, I hope it is captured. Hornet has the sounds nailed.
My wife has told me to stop talking about ******* planes more than once this afternoon. Lucky I can’t retreat to the garage
