My understanding because of reasons is that this was not sudden and has been coming for a little while. I don’t think this will have much bearing on recently announced project release goals.
I look at this as - If there are business, financial, or direction differences, DEAL WITH THEM NOW.
That 70’s era Navy jet band is going to be huge, and everyone in it better be playing an instrument and deserving of a cut.
Better to figure it out now.
Pretty sure this means the F-14 will only be able to carry four Phoenix missiles instead of six. Gotta trim some of the fat man…
Well there goes the Avionics Upgrade. again
Are you sure @BeachAV8R? I heard they were cutting down one engine and making a Crusader instead…
I heard one engine as well, but also a cost and weight savings upgrade…
I like how the air intake makes the jet look super happy to go flying.
Not gonna lie, an LNS… or MAGNITUDE, or whoever they are now, made F-16 would be pretty amazing.
Seems like Magnitude 3 got the Fishbed and Ｈｅａｔｂｌｕｒ Ｓｉｍｕｌａｔｉｏｎｓ will take over the AJS-37 and F-14A/B.
Interesting split. Ｈｅａｔｂｌｕｒ’s hand in the game seems obvious right now, but I’m very curious about what’s going to emerge from Magnitude 3.
Some ground shaking news for sure.
Yes, it is a pun.
I didn’t see that coming. So is the Corsair going to be Magnitude 3’s entity? Frankly I always thought that LNS’s intention to cater both the moder (Viggen, Tomcat) and WW2 (Corsair) setting with aircraft, maps and AI units to be an odd combination with no mutual benefit. Things start to make a lot more sense now.
Q: Where does that leave the Corsair and the Pacific theater?
A: Leatherneck Sim, MAGNITUDE 3 LLC, contracted
How about we take YOU out to lunch!
Nah, but seriously; that would be cool! Lets do this.
and you too @Navynuke99
Nope…can’t do that - I don’t want to get impeached here at Mudspike. But I can certainly buy YOU guys lunch. I’ll shoot you a PM and I’ll see if our schedules work out where we could visit. If you guys want to model a really nice Citation Ultra or King Air…I can give you all the access you need…! (You can put a TGP on it…!)
North Carolina Laws of Hospitality dictate that we the hosts take the visiting parties out when they’re here. I’d seriously be down for introducing you all to proper barbecue since you’ll be here.
What he said. Mmm…BBQ. We should have done this sooner!
Shame you couldn’t make it out for the Memorial Day weekend outing we had at Ken’s a few years ago! Great barbecue to be had that weekend. And so. much. flying.
