How Do You All Avoid This On Your Phones? Young People Do This All The Time! not clickbait at all

Maybe cruely and confusingly meta to see a Mudspike screenshot on Mudspike. But this is how I write new threads. I don’t actually see what I am writing. If I post onto an existing thread, no problem.

Unfortunately discourse sometimes ***** the bed with their responsive design. Have you tried installing discourse hub on your phone and using mudspike through that?

Disclaimer: I have never used discourse hub myself so it could be utter garbage.

Edit: According to Google Playstore they don’t collect any data from your phone operating system, so that’s a start.

Nope. But see! This reply box is doable. It is only by being the OP where it is FUBAR’d.

Which is why I said “sometimes”. And to be fair, responsive design with bigger applications is hard.

If you change your mind, have a look here Discourse Hub | Discourse - Civilized Discussion

But I need another app like a kid needs another Oreo. My workaround works. Make a junk first post. Discourse can fix it or not, don’t care. This was helpful though. Thanks @sobek!

Just for kicks, do you have another browser on your phone that you could try?

I don’t. I mean I could install Chrome. But it’s just another Oreo. I really just wanted to learn what old man mistake I was making. If using a little obscure browser called “Safari” is my old-man mistake, I can live with that.

I’m the oldest and only one in my family of 5 not using Safari.

Wow, I hadn’t used Safari in so long, that it took a while to understand the interface. It not like us

Possibly superior. Seems to work on my 16.

Yep like @sobek said it’s a forum bug with the mobile browser. I’ll see if there’s a fix and will update if so. Ok here on iOS 26.3 and Edge (basically Chrome with just a different slant of evil)

How does the edit feature work for you in the post you just created after you submit your thread? If you can see the reply box when using the edit feature for that post that can be a work around for you. Unless someone posts in your thread almost immediately there is a 3 to 5 minute window during which the system does not show that you edited your content.

The same 3 to 5 minute grace period exists for any post you make too.

what a clickbait  thought it will be more interesting thread :winking_face_with_tongue:

What in the title could possibly have given you the idea that this would be interesting? (Or was that the joke?) <= Probably that. Good one!
