I present... The best Airplane...in...THE WORLD!

Who here played with Sleek Streeks, in their youth? :raised_hand:
I had several! A great little flyer that could be yours for candy money.
It could ROG (Rotate Off Ground), which wasn’t a common trait amongst rubber band powered toy aircraft, back then.

I googled Sleek Streek the other day. They have been out of production for ages, but I was hoping on finding a drawing so I could maybe make my own, when I saw an ebay link to a guy selling old and unused Sleek Streeks!! He must have found an old hobby store stash, or similar, because he had a bunch. But now there were only two left…
They arrived today.

The quality of the parts were still great! The same horrible die cut balsa and out of register artwork. The plastic parts were in great shape as well, but the rubberband snapped immediately, which was to be expected.

Warning!
Nostalgia overload!

By tomorrow, I fully expect to see little balsa skis on those wheels…

I think I had such a plane, too!
Or a very similar one.

I used to fly those things down to splinters . Learned some of aerodynamics re-configuring the surviving pieces

You know, the relationship between the US and Canada is totally one sided; they gave us the wonder that is the Red Green Show and we haven’t had the decency to give them the back Stanley Cup since '93.

That clip made me both irrationally angry and surreptitiously laughing!
