So I’ve been reading the old classic WW2 Air Combat book “The Big Show” by Pierre Clostermann. I’m really enjoying the book and I’ve decided to start a single player career in IL-2 BoX and fly in his Squadron. I was trying out his Spitfire tonight in a quick mission. What a piece of superb aircraft machinery! Can’t wait to take it up against the Hun!

Gorgeous pix. If I hadn’t seen the way ED struggled for years getting night lighting right, this would seem mundane.
Going to be flying more IL-2 Great Battles in the future. Decided to begin with an aircraft I have not touched since purchasing the series. I do like the look of it. However, I have noticed that the basic, default weapons configuration for this fighter is only two 7.62mm machine guns. Might have to talk to the crew chief and see if he can rig me up some additional weaponry for my missions.
