Speaking of CoD Blitz, I rebuilt my data drive recently after a crash of the original SSD and took a spin in the sim last night. It really is a gem compared to what was released 8 years ago. If you are a fan of that era, I highly recommend adding CoD B to your collection. The aircraft have mostly clickable cockpits which is a slight step up on its brethren.
Iâd be very glad if they did compete, because that would mean thereâs a possibility for a IL-2 Battle of Britain in the Great Battle series, but they did state that they wouldnât do it because Team Fusion got the rights for CloD. Or have you heard otherwise?
I have it. But since it doesnât support VR, I donât use it⊠Hoping for a VR upgrade for CloD though.
Well, now youâre trying to extract info⊠![]()
You wanna bet or not? ![]()
PS: just for giggles of course. Gambling is bad and we donât do it. ![]()

This really is the Good Place.
@schurem amirite?
Forking A bruv!
I would whole-heartily embrace this because I badly want a theater with AI ground and air assets to fight against with my Mig-15bis and F-86F Sabre. Of course this would include a proper Korean War era map to have all this stuff on. Since DCS isnât going to do this might was well let someone else with a tried and true track record.
Iâll add that no matter how apparently simplicistic, this IL2 dynamic campaign engine is pretty good and will serve valiantly in a Korean conflict map!
Besides, with how ridiculously good the P-38 looks, with its metal skin- a B29 would be looking like liquid visual $âŹx.
checks map meh, I should have been more specific
I think there were rumors of VR in Blitz 5.0, but that may have changed. Eagerly hurrying up and waiting here.
Wait, this one?
Or this one?

I donât know what youâre talking about?!

They could start w a Pusan perimeter map. Later expand to fly out of Japan. Then the MiG Alley map could be the icing on the cake. Shut up, this is MY dream.
Really wondering why they donât do it. They have almost everything. Plus Corsair is on the way and OctopusG could develop the Yak.
⊠but they are adding F86 and MiG15 into MAC, so who knows whatâs their plans there. I guess we will see soon :
Yep, same here. Boggles the mind. Theyâve got the two main modules. Superb modules I might add.
Do a map, throw in the AI ground, AAA and air assets in a pack and youâve basically have a finished, all supporting product that people could have a blast with.
Hard to believe that on top of coding delays they have delays typing words.
I wish they would round out WWII first before going to Korea. Theyâve already started the WWI stuff and added tanks to WWII, going to Korea without touching the Pac seems to be missing a step.
Besides, Korea honestly needs carrier ops, too, even if it was only the UN forces that had them.
There was a thread on the Il-2 forums a couple of years back about the delay to making the Pac, but it was vague about just how long it would be. With this one coming out the end of 2019, I can see Pac coming out mid-2021 being 4 years after that thread and a logical period.
They start with the land planes first and then rotate to the carrier-based ones before releasing the carrier ops and theater at the end of development.
Sure. I would agree with that. I would also imagine something like that would come after theyâve learned, experimented with the carrier module for the F-14, F-18C etc. The point I was trying to make is they already have two of the key aircraft for that particular war and theater. They just need the assets to support those modules. The carrier stuff you are talking about could be a nice juicy add-on for later. I would imagine the documents and data needed for the carrier aircraft in that era would be readily available in the public domain in order to make those aircraft into modules.
But who am I? Maybe there is no market for Korean war even though Iâd buy it in a minute.
Honestly, they could poach a lot from the WW2 assets for the Korean war, though a bunch more would have to be made to properly complete the scenario. The largest problem I see would be the map, which would take a lot of work.
You could already start a Korean war experience with the MiG-15 and F-86 as it is, then add more on later.
