Kingdom Come: Deliverance II

I still have the original KCD lined up in my Steam library and want to play it (in VR :vr:) once the time comes.

I better hurry up since the KCD II is on its way and the official game reveal video (mind it is about 14 mins long) looks great.

The icing on the cake for me is the places in which the game evolves. I know them all and I love them all! :heart_on_fire:

Super stoked! This is the first I’ve heard of it actually being near-release/officially announced.

The first game is nothing short of amazing, astonishingly good. Story, mechanics, graphics, everything. I played it for months; it’s a medieval RDR2.

And it’s crying out in the wilderness for a VR port. Can you imagine how good that would be?! :astonished:

One of the greatest shame moments for me is that I never finished part one. My gaming PC died back then and I couldn’t replace it for almost two years.

When I could play it again I was just… out of it.

I found that game so so hard to play.

The trick is to do it like in real life:

  1. Avoid fighting
  2. Avoid fighting more than one opponent
  3. Ambush, hit and run.
  4. Get good armor, then you can ignore above rules to a certain extent.

I bought the first game on sale a few weeks ago and since I consider myself to be a history buff I figured that this game would be right up my alley. I was wrong. I reinstalled the game 3 times in the hopes that I would gain an appreciation for it but it just didn’t happen. I found the game to be too dull. The story didn’t draw me in and the combat I found to be quite clunky.

That’s too bad, sorry to hear. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it, which actually surprised me a bit, as I didn’t expect to when I tried it out. The combat combos could be better, I agree. Eventually I had to just force myself to memorize the 2-3 combos I liked the best and use them.

I also liked it a lot.

…although I never finished it.

I got my absolute butt handed to me in that game.

They are releasing on GOG on March 28th, probably a first day buy for me.
