Now, I know I could straighten it up and get it to mostly be flat… but it just pisses me off.
By experience I know it’s never going to be nicely flat- it will always have some sort of a hump.
Am I being a little b!tc# by refusing it, and requesting a refund? What would you do?
I am not the type to write angry emails or start screaming- just a polite, please refund me when I return it “Hello, if possible you can also just send another one, without the bend, please”
Like- I know that it would probabyl develop a curvature, after being used, but this is supposed to be new.
Sorry I feel a bit overwhelmed- my autism has spiked the last couple of days. Please be my litmus test.
If you ordered from a company, shipping issues are their responsibility. You can send it back without reasoning and they need to pay shipping. In fact, they are required to include paperwork so you can do it with minimal effort and no cost.
If it was a private deal, shipping issues is your responsibility. You can contact the delivery company and file a complaint.
No, you‘re not being a terrible person. This is regular procedure in online sales and all priced in or insured. Sane boundaries are good and important.
That’s crazy. It must have had the unfortunate luck of having shared the plane/truck with a shipment of loose bowling balls. To me, the shipper has some responsibility due to the minimalist packing. Maybe whatever violence that had its way with your poor kneeboard would have just laughed at cardboard. But it would at least have given it a fighting chance. Or, that is very low grade soft aluminum. I still have (and occasionally use) the kneeboard I got when I turned 18. That thing would derail a train!
Not going to lie, it’s pretty crazy- it’s solid. I am going to order another one with the refund because it’s really solid… I like the heft and feel of it.
So apparently with Amazon is super simple. I started the return & refund process within the app and they gave me a QR code for shipping it back at no cost and receive a full refund.
I don’t even have to source a box or an envelope or anything.
I give it to the local DHL point (300 mt from my apartment) and I make them scan my QR code.
Amazon shipping procedures have gone to sh** recently. In order to save weight and minimize on packing materials waste instead of using boxes they ship just about everything in letter packs now, if it isn’t shipped in the manufacturer’s package, which protects absolutely nothing.
Unless I absolutely have to use them I quit buying from them for that reason.
