Take him to Alnwick. Not just the castle. The Swan Hotel for Obi , the original fittings from Titanics twin sister RMS Olympic. Almost 100% the same as Titanic -
NB. Grand staircase, Revolving doors and the restaurant is in what was the 1st class lounge
Ooooh, I’ve heard about that hotel! It’s awesome being able to actually see the pictures of it though- thank you!! As usual @Scoop , you’re a treasure.
Google the White Swan, Alnwick. There are LOTS of photos on the net.
Love it!
If my memory serves me, that base was for the old Lego fire house. I had it when I was a kid.
That’s right, that baseplate is about thirty years old now.
Those ships/speeders are awesome! They remind me a lot of the things my youngest brother used to build.
It’s quite amazing how good young kids can be at building with those special blocks. I don’t think I’ve ever been that good.
So, ah, I may have done a thing…
Pictures coming after I figure out how to smuggle it into the house past Karen…
Now you know how this will turn out
So, Discovery I picked up as my traditional end of semester treat to myself (got it early because the set is getting harder to come by), and then a couple of days ago, this popped up on my radar on Facebook Marketplace- built once, then put back in box with all the pieces verified- for less than half retail price (this one is also hard to get hold of).
Nerdgasm!
the Republic gunship … oh yes … the Star Wars version of the Mi24 Hind
I’ve started looking for custom nose art stickers.
