I have a question regarding the hall sensor magnets. Will any magnet work, or does it take a special kind? Will these work if placed with the flat side facing the hall sensor?
If I remember my high school physics correctly, any magnet should work as long as your polarity (north/south pole) is OK???
Where it potentially gets tricky and I have NFI is where some of the more advanced physics & electrickery (magnetic field strength, circuit resistance, etc) and the underlying software comes into play.
The magnets should be diametrically magnetized if you want to place the magnet flat face towards the sensor.
