Sorry to hear about your sister and very good points @smokinhole .
Both my parents are nurses so when we got the diagnosis two years ago it was very clear there’s only one way this is going to end and that’s how it was communicated with friends and family. I am at my parents a lot these days and I will probably watch the football match with them tomorrow night.
@Derbysieger Sorry for what you are going through. I remember how helpless I felt watching my dad decline, knowing it was only a matter of time before he passed on. Wishing you strength as well.
Thanks all. I’m fine. The struggle for all of us is the protection of the relationship between the two sons and their respective marriages. I wish there was a way to impress upon my dear sister the damage being done to her children. The will to fight and survive is remarkably strong in us humans.
@Derbysieger your parents sound like fantastic people. Best wishes for all of you.
The reply after Wags’ said “Keep it arse!” I’ve never heard that. And not so sure what it means. But I kinda like it. What a fight he is in for. He seems to be in a good headspace. I miss his updates. Always calm and level. You know: arse!
