I understand and I fear that many will feel the same.
But for me, the AH-64D and Kiowa are irrelevant: I don’t like cockpits full of MFDs. I want a cockpit with analog devices to operate.
And the BO-105, on top of being European like the Gazelle, has its unique manoeuverability among helicopters. I look forward to flying the stripped civilian version almost as much as the various anti-tank versions we are getting.
The Fragger has shown that he is working on:
German PAH1A1 with RWR and HOT3 missiles
Swedish Hkp9a with TOW missiles
Korean CMS? with TOW, RWR and countermeasures
Civilian VBH
The big question will be: can Razbam make a helicopter flight model as well as ED/Belsimtek?
The MILTECH-5 Bo-105 for DCS is still alive and kicking.
It does however look like they have come up against a small roadblock.
The team is looking for someone who can do DCS sound integration.

I am looking for someone who is familiar with DCS sound integration and would be able to help with the BO 105 sound setup.
The goal is to integrate the BO 105 sounds properly into DCS using the existing MEDUSA sound base. The sound files are already prepared, but I need someone who understands the DCS sound structure well enough to set up the sounds correctly, including internal and external sound behavior.
The MEDUSA base itself will be explained by my coder, so you do not have to reverse engineer that part from scratch. What I need is someone who can work with that basis and bring the sound side properly into DCS.
The focus is mainly on:
Engine startup sequence
Starter behavior
Turbine spool up and spool down
Internal and external turbine sounds
Looping and transitions
Rotor and engine sound logic
Cockpit versus external sound positioning
This is specifically for the DCS BO 105 project, so anyone who already understands how DCS modules handle aircraft sound integration would be ideal.
