No announcement, news or screenshots. Just a general plug. I had a week off and got weathered out of an aerobatic contest so I did what the younger me would have done: played the xbox for 20+ hours. Some was spent soaring (a new MSFS experience for me). The rest was fooling around with some stuff from Miltech: The CH-47D mentioned a couple of posts up and the MV-22 plus the included ships and sceneries that came bundled with the planes. Both machines are terrific. The CH-47 is a bit richer from a systems and modeling standpoint but the Osprey is a joy to operate. It’s a bit of a challenge with a controller but I got that cracked after a couple of hours of fuddling with settings. For whatever reason I seem to have a fondness for seaborne artwork. I never knew that about myself. I prefer mountains over oceans. But I can’t help noticing that I have written little love notes to DCS for Supercarrier, and LR for the boats in X-Plane 12. Miltech’s stuff is even more lush and detailed. Breaking out of the soup and being rewarded with such a well-crafted deck make the experience joyfully repeatable. Static boats and moving fleets are scattered over the planet so you can almost always find the right combo of weather and light. Arial Refueling (as an added package) is coming soon, apparently.
