Wow! That looked like 600ft/min or something.
More than a few pants were written off that day.
Steam gauge jet? Count me in
Aer Lingus used to have them… maybe they still do, but I flew on one at least once on a connector flight from Dublin to Birmingham.
There was also one in FS9 I believe that was super fun to fly, it felt agile and powerful. It felt like you could land it anywhere! Don’t have the Xplane version but am leaning towards this if it comes out before PMDG.
So you’re saying there’s a chance! (we’ll see it in MSFS)?
Here’s a vid of a stream about the 146.
That guy is a bit long-winded but he shows basically everything in the plane (BETA of course).
I absolutely LOVE the fact that he is doing that video using what looks like an X-Box controller. I love that the hobby can attract people that want to fly the way they want to…
I think he uses the controller only for the camera views. His primary flight control is a Honeycomb yoke.
I love this guy - he is so enthusiastic! This sim is looking incredible: 245 page manual, take-off is at 3:07 if anyone wants to skip ahead. The sounds are amazing, the first office gives callouts and raises gear, just awesome. I am sold.
I haven’t had the chance to try it out yet but Toolbar Pushback is looking more and more like a must-have for airliners:
It’s superb. Its now basically what Better Pushback is in XPlane.
New Release!
This is a Beta version of the Global AI Ship Traffic Ultra version including additional models, additional routes and not least effects on more that 90% of the ships. The remaining will be added in the final version around the beginning of April.

I have the older version and it’s awesome.
It really brings the seaways to life!
Now, most of the ships leave very nice wakes, and to my eye, the vessel night lighting has been refined to the point that its much closer to the brighter and more colorful rendition formerly only seen in the payware Seafront traffic sold by Orbx.
Brighter and more detailed night lighting
I guess I know what I will be flying tomorrow then…
Likewise.
As for MSFS releases, I told myself to wait for reviews but here I will make an exception.
And then maybe a second one for the Boeing 247D
The 247 is a no brained at the price-point they have set. It looks like it will be an excellent product.
We also have the DC Designs Concorde, which, while not study level, still looks like it will be reasonably deep systems wise (and I have enjoyed their F14/F15/F16). That should be out on the 30th of this month.
I’m also looking forward to the Just Flight BAe 146 which shouldn’t be too far out.
And btw. Aeroplane Heaven is targetting their DC-3 / C-47 package towards this month.
Judging from the pictures over at Sim-Outhouse, the model looks ridiculously fabulous.
Though this is the one for which I will be following reviews and user feedback very closely before pushing the button.
Also, the package will not be in similar price range as the Goose or the 247D, as hinted by bazzar. Personally, I would expect its price point somewhere around 60 euro. Just my gut feeling…
