Fenix just dropped a bomb on the high fidelity market. With all the recent releases trending higher and higher; £49.99 ($61ish) is a nice change for this high of quality.

For that cheap price i recommend you buying 2 copies, 1 to use and the second to remove pieces to do maintenance of the 1st one

No kidding! I’m going to have to hold off on this one…I already have picked up the JF BAe146, the PMDG 737 and the HotStart Challenger 650 for XP11… oh, and the RV-14 too.

I thought you not fly xp anymore … :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, I made the exception because I will be flying a Challenger 650 in the near future (also a Global)… so I figured the HotStart Challenger would be a great way to get ahead of the game before I head off for training.

Anyone have the Milviz C310R or Trent FreedomFox? Thoughts?

I have the Freedom Fox. It’s a nicely done bush flier. You can customize your own KitFox too which is pretty neat. You also get a rendition of Trent Palmer’s house and hangar North of Reno. For $29 I think it represents pretty good value.

The 310 is on my radar as well, but I have the 414 so I’m in no big hurry to pick up another piston twin right at the moment.

I have, and can heartily recommend, both.

With the FF, they state their main goal was to bring a fun aircraft to the market that still based in a realistic representation of an actual aircraft. They nailed it. It’s really fun to go bush bombing with, and the aircraft has a lot of personality and liveliness to it (eg. the entire aircraft visibly and audibly shutters when you pull back to idle throttle). It hold a spot on my MSFS “short list” for sure!

The 310R is my newest acquisition, and in short, I’ll say “believe the hype” (which has sadly become muted by all the major tubeliner launches of late). If you’ve been longing for A2A Accusim level GA planes in MSFS, this one scratches that itch. And the sound is outstanding; it has a vintage muscle car gurgling rumble to the engines when at idle, and you really get the sense you’re sitting on top of a lot of power (at least by GA standards). The 310R is the top of my MSFS short list right now.

That pains me even more than, that they went with the “tuna” tanks. I just find them ugly, I may just override my disgust and pick it up with that glowing of a recommendation.

Sat at the summit of Mt Cook … this is a really nice area to fly around, but NZA Simulations new Mt Cook scenery really takes it up a notch with airports, shelter huts and various other POI’s scattered around to make things interesting.

They look great. The eye of the beholder etc.

Yeah I picked up the C310 over the weekend. like you said, the sound is amazing. With a great pair of headphones, the sound puts you square in the pilot seat. I’ve been flying a handful of short IFR hops and shooting approaches with just the 6 pack and dual VOR receiver stack. Lovin’ it.
