Is there a way to setup a second window in VR that has its own fixed viewpoint? What I would like to have is a the VR view in the headset, and a normal forward view on my monitor. Basically allowing for one person to “sightsee” under VR while the flying can be down form the 2D view.
I understand this is not exactly what you’re asking, but I believe you could do this with two PCs using shared cockpit in multiplayer.
I too would be interested in what you’re asking for, but it seems like that would be asking the graphics engine to render two separate scenes, so it doesn’t sound like it would be smooth without great hardware (like a second PC for the second player )
Interesting I didn’t know MSFS had a shared cockpit feature. I shall look into that, that would be a decent workaround.
Well it seems I am again misremembering a mod as an integral part of the game…

Would that require two steam accounts and two copies of MSFS?
Ah, probably yes
If you’re just doing it for a one off or to see if it is worth pursuing, MS Xbox Gaming Pass was $1 trial for the first month and included the standard edition of FS2020… you can always cancel before the full price kicks in and move to Steam if that’s the way to go?
Hmm decisions. If MSFS24 is compatible with MSFS in MP, might be an option. I wasn’t planning on getting MSFS24, but that might be a good enough reason.
