Btw the approaches for KASE and KTEX are there finally.

The “* FAA data has been implemented to our navdata solution” is to be thanked to :grinning:

I wonder why the Navblue database did not include them in the first place, though.

My MSFS journey was short lived. I cant install it because my device isnt linked to an account. Went through the process and it errored out. I bought it on another comp, but meant to install it on my home gaming rig.

Couldnt resolved it, so I requested a refund. I didnt see an option to transfer it to another account. And live help is a thing of the past.

That’s sad and also weird. Why would it be tied to a certain PC?

My laptop has an account that has my Office 365, etc. Thats what I bought MSFS on.
But my home gaming rig has my Gmail account tied to it. Using the “Add Account” function to my gamer, failed. So yeah.

Ah, OK. I never had a PC tied to an account so I wouldn’t know I guess.

Try “Add a Microsoft account” instead of “Add an account”.

Make sure you got all updates.

MSFS 787-10 HOTFIX 5/31/21

FROM: OlieTsubasa443

A hotfix is now live on both the Microsoft Store and Steam. Issue addressed:

  • Fixed Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner bouncing on the runway due to an incorrect CG setup

Thank you for your feedback!

Interesting that they are doing the testing in Steam (even if you don’t own it in Steam) rather than use their own platform…

Next Flighting Opportunity

Would you like to participate in our next flighting opportunity? We have made significant updates and data changes to the sim and need a variety of PC setups to help test stability and performance. This build does not include any content changes but has significant performance updates we’d love for you to try out and provide feedback on.

Unlike the previous two flights, this flight will not be through the Xbox Insider Hub, but through a Steam branch. You do not need to own MSFS on Steam, as a code will be provided to you via email to download a specific test version of MSFS. The only requirements are that you have enough storage on your PC to handle a new (temporary) version of MSFS, and a Steam account.

For those interested, sign-ups will open to anyone who wishes to participate soon. We will post that announcement via the MSFS Website, so check back! We will cap the sign-ups at 300 participants.

Previous testers who have expressed interest via this forum post (only active for previous testers) will be automatically added to this flight and there is no need to sign up as you will be added in addition to the 300 users.

[16JUN21] PMDG DC-6 for Microsoft Flight Simulator Release Date Announcement

Captains,

We are happy to announce that our first product for Microsoft Flight Simulator has completed development and is now pending for release.

The PMDG Douglas DC-6 for Microsoft Flight Simulator represents the first of a number of products that PMDG has planned for Microsoft Flight Simulator, and marries our penchant for creating “study level” simulations with Microsoft’s magnificent new, high technology flight simulation engine. Never before have we had the ability to model an airplane with such detail, and we are very excited to bring this product to market this week.

PMDG_DC6_announcement.jpg
Throwing superlatives around is an easy thing to do when you are working with a new generation of simulation platform that is as visually stunning as thew new Microsoft Flight Simulator. We tend to shy away from such behavior when showing a soon-to-be released product, but in this case it is hard to avoid. MSFS is a modern engine that does a magnificent job of capturing the beauty of the DC-6, allowing us to turn out a highly detailed, robust simulation of one of the world’s great, classic airliners.

The PMDG Douglas DC-6 for Microsoft Flight Simulator is a ground up build that was designed from the beginning to capitalize on the advanced features of MSFS. From lighting to flight handling to systems behaviors, we have created a detail-rich simulation that is sure to deliver weeks and months and years of enjoyable simulation experience to PMDG customers new and old. No effort has been spared to make this the most detailed simulation in our product line, while simultaneously giving new simmers all of the tools that they need to succeed in opreating this highly detailed simulation.

Understanding that not all PMDG customers have radial engine experience in their background, we have added the Automated Flight Engineer to the product specifically to unburden you, the pilot, by handling most all of the complex tasks and checklists while you focus on flying the airplane. Just like a real-world captain, you can easily delegate complex processes to your Automatic Flight Engineer with the simple click of a button.

The PMDG Douglas DC-6 will be available on Friday, 18JUN21 directly from www.pmdg.com.

We will have more video and information available for you later in the day on Wednesday, and we hope that you will take a few moments to tune in to our friends Chewwy and TheFlyingFabio on Twitch throughout the day today as they showcase our new product and attempt to learn to fly the airplane in real-time with all of you watching.

Pricing and time-of-day availability is still pending, and will be announced shortly before product release.

We are very excited to finally be bringing you a product compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator. We are very excited about what we have created, and we hope it will bring you many years of simulator enjoyment.

On behalf of all of us at PMDG, thank you for your continued support during the past 24 years!

Well this is novel, I am going to be at home this weekend…. I guess I know what I will be doing.

I was very disappointed with PMDG for not updating their XP10 DC6 to XP11 standards. I swore that I would never support them again, but that seems like ancient history now. MSFS2020 is still a young sim, and so this version should be supported for quite some time to come.

Price dependent, I might be flying some Evert Air Cargo routes this weekend.

According to the Dev Q&A the next world update will be Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Sounds bumpy.

I’m really looking forward to the next update, as that’s my favorite region to fly in. I feel that I will be disappointed since they can’t possibly update everything that I feel needs to be updated.

Hopefully it will be good, nonetheless.
