A few more…
How did you set the fire?
I picked up this addon:
It isn’t bad, but I would recommend just waiting for MSFS2024 at this point.

I have been trying to decide between the GKS MiG 25 and the Flying Iron FW190. I will probably end up getting both, but for now I have gone with the Foxbat because I have not flown one in any sim that I can remember, plus I like to support developers in Ukraine. GKS did a nice job with their MiG 21 and F-111 which are both well worth checking out.
The Foxbat is not a small airplane. Although it looks a little bit like the F-15, it really is only designed to go high and fast in a straight line.
A very Russian cockpit full of dials and switches. Switch placement is all over the place and not necessarily logical. It’s not as cramped as the pit in the MiG 21 but there are a lot of similarities. In VR you get a real feel for the size of the airplane while sat in ‘the office’.
Even with the massively powerful engines in full afterburner, the Foxbat still needs a lot of runway to get off the ground.
Climbing out…
That’s quite a snoot!
I topped out at 93,000 ft
Time to head back down.
Left downwind.
Touchdown!
Once again, GKS have done a very nice job. The MiG 25 feels heavy on the controls and there is plenty to chew on systems wise (I’m not saying it’s study level, but it’s got more than enough going on to keep most simmers happy).

Maybe it is. But like the Firefox, ‘you must think in Russian’

I’ve always wanted a Foxbat or a Foxhound in a combat sim. Yes I know that in the Russian air defense system it’s basically a manned missile, just like a Fishbed on an intercept. But stupid high, and stupid fast, with 1970’s radar tech just sounds like a fun time.

I have a hard enough time just trying to think in English!

I do remember flying a MiG-25 (or it might have been a -31?) in EA’s Birds of Prey back in the 1990s… and it felt like a high speed interceptor with very little sacrifice to turning, landing or just generally flying any other way than high and fast in that sim too.
Yet we call the Phantom the “lead sled”

I forgot about Birds of Prey. Seems like a lifetime ago.

From the same developer as the recently released freeware Swordfish, we now have a freeware Sea Fury. For freeware this is top notch in my opinion. You can pick it up at Flightsim.to .

My number one pick if I was rich enough to have any warbird I wanted.

Well if you’re taking the Sea Fury already, I’ll have the Bearcat so we can keep up with @wheelsup_cavu 's Panther.

That looks as good as the payware F-104 in terms of visuals! Stunning! How does she feel wrt stick and rudder?

Hmmm, a jet warbird, honestly not one of those what if’s that I have ever really considered… Hard to say.
Off the cuff I am going to say Meteor or CAC Sabre (with the Avon engine). But let me think about it.

I was digging through my hard drive for something today and found these screen shots I took, about a year ago, of a flight in the tweet, over the Salt Lake Valley
