Quick update: Don’t try to ride the horses. That’s because they are now sheep.
Harvest done on 11, 19, and 20. Filled the Stautmann trailer to 90%, sold for $53k. Much straw to be bailed next session. 17 and 18 aren’t quite ready.
Oh, and the straw… full trailer sold for $4,800.
Anyway, very nice profit shown for the last few days efforts.
Ok, got a bit of play in this morning. Saghen sowed and weeded fields while I was on.
I filled the sheep pen to 153 head. To ease cleaning and wool handling, I bought a second set of front loader, bucket, and pallet fork. They are stored under the awning at the wool station.
Just the same attachments we already have, duplicate. Then anytime regular tractor is up there, it’s all set to for any task. Less than $8k investment, and fills the gap until we might choose something else.
Adlabs placed the repair building and fuel tank behind the shed where the plow used to be. And…good news, the header for the harvester will fit between the shed and the fuel tank/repair building. Success!
I had fun last night, doing the whole grass cutting, baking activity. I still say, if we’re going to be cutting another, I think we need to upgrade the mower.
Quick fix for that is to add a second mower of the se type and equip them front and back. Leaves a small strip of uncut grass but otherwise you’re getting double the width.
Not sure what the other mower attachments are like off the top of my head. And the actual mower unit is like 300+400k
Sure I’ll add that in. We’re going to need to get another tractor soon. All of these attachments are getting Tok heavy for the baby new Holland and the maxxus.
