Mudspike GC - 2021 Season

Oh man…great idea…! We are bringing John Daly as the team captain…I’m not sure how much golfing will happen, but the cigars and booze should be fun…

OK…next event is live…! I think I managed to put the correct setting in for the power meter this time  1000 monkey typing for 1000 years and eventually you might get the right settings…

Event runs on the suggested Carinthia Club, Austria…

I’m not too knowledgeable about the settings to be honest. The tee placement selection differs by course…some have up to 4 different tee placements. Here in the United States, red would denote “ladies” tees (hard to believe that term has survived PC-ness), white tees would be the standard tees, blue tees would be competition level…and I’ve seen both gold and black as being the like PGA level setting. :man_shrugging: So I just selected all of them to add some variety.

Use caution on Day 3…looks like a nor’easter is blowing in…Day 4 anticipate drying of the course with all that overnight wind and cooler temps…resulting in a faster final round.

I feel like I should take a grappling hook and a squad of WW2 commandos to infiltrate the chateau on this hole…

Number 6 is an interesting…“should I go for the green or not” hole…

Nice job :+1:

I’ll get some rounds in today. I’m not sure how it’s going to go after last time. :slightly_smiling_face:

That was a great course recommendation by the way. It is a gorgeous course…love the layout. It has some serious peril in some areas, but isn’t unfair in my opinion. And I love a course with a par 5 on the final hole…

Oh dear… first round was going well then I collapsed on the back 9…

2nd round much better after learning my lesson. 2 eagles… but 2 water penalties. Great fun course though. :slightly_smiling_face:

Yeah…those large elevation changes between tee and fairway landing area/green make club selection an interesting affair. Throw in the winds and…

I really hate you guys for making me get this on the Steam Winter Sale.

What the heck. It was only $10. I spend almost that much at Starbucks if I order a slice of coffee cake with my drink.

Uh oh…did you buy the right one? I see The Golf Club 2019 is $9.99 but PGA Tour 2K21 is showing 50% off at $29.99…?

Even the deer thought this shot a bit ambitious (it did not end well…)…

In this round…my goal has now become to NOT par any of the holes…and instead swing wildly between bogeys, double bogeys, birdies, and eagles…

Driver to the island green par 4 on the 11th?

Personal goal realized…!! I actually shot an entire round without carding anything worse than a par. I’ve never done that before (in the game or real life). I was getting really nervous and yippy on the 16th, 17th, and 18th…just knowing I would screw it up. I knew if I could get through the 17th that the par 5 18th would be a tough hole to not get a par on.

Weird because round 3 was supposed to be the windy and nasty round…but the winds weren’t that bad, and the soft greens pretty much let you shoot right for the stick. Round 4 might be trouble with fast greens and fairways though…lots of bad places for the ball to roll on this course.

Great job.

That was my best round as well. I think I was 2 under. I noticed the tees were right back, so I’m guessing these were the championship tees we used in this round?

I believe so. I had it set for Tee 3 for Round 3 and Tee 4 for Round 4…and it looks like they might be colored both Championship setting. I noticed the wet fairways put some of the par 5s out of reach due to the soft landing and slow roll of the ball. Kind of neat how the game shows the path of the ball through the wetness…
