I might listen in on discord silently as to not put anyone off if you are OK with that
maybe I will make it today for Huey ride
Updated the game Iāll be there in a couple of hours at the latest.
thx for heads up, did the update⦠but forgot to install Marianas ![]()
Sorry I missed it. My RoF/IL2 buddy hit me on discord all excited that he had ālearned how to launch a Sidewinderā in the F-14. So I had to jump in his RIO seat to witness.
I was stalking you all on comms, made driving up to Birmingham more interesting listening to you guys
Sounded a great mission. Hope I can join you soon!
Fantastic mission @Cib I think the inaugural flight of the mudspike rotorheads is a resounding sucess,
thanks again to all there for a damn good flight. we have to do this again⦠so @Victork2 doesnt feel left out ![]()
Thank you so so much @Cib ! The mission was amazing, perfect difficulty level, beautiful scenery, short flight inbound but long enough to make it exciting to try to get back to base when you lose an engine.
Loved seeing all the activity in the air around the target and on the way to and fro.
Those sneaky S-60s who would only occasionally open fire to then lay dormant for minutes kept us on our toes.
Then the dynamic nature of the mission with the armor reinforcements on the way, and even good performance despite all the moving ground units⦠I am very impressed: I do try to build a mission occasionally but never get them this right.
This must have taken quite a few hours, thank you so much!
You were teasing a next episode⦠I canāt wait!
I felt right proper knackered after work so didnāt feel up to it, but I would love to have a go on some other time and date.
Sorry again to have missed it but it was for a good cause. Any chance to fly with my dispersed old squad is one I have to take. Thanks for making it happen @Cib
Sorry my mike played up. I coukd hear though.
I did like the Hind flying between @Cib and myself on a reciprocal heading. I pulled out to about three rotor discs to let him through. I must learn how to do screen shots in vr
I could hear you fine
Sorry to have missed it. If you guys have a sport for a Gaz driver in the future (or an out of practice Hind pilot (or an even more out of practice KA-50 pilot)) Iāll definitely try to make it. I love the Huey, but I wouldnāt want to be in the same LZ when Iām trying to set it down.
Great night guys, so glad you all seemed to enjoy it. Not knowing peopleās limitations I had all the choppers hot started and pre loaded
Next time I will have cold starts as everyone seemed more than competent ![]()
The flight there and back was short enough not to be a chore but still gave a nice sense of arriving and leaving a hot AO
Next tasking will be taking the high ground where the commies are well dug in ![]()
Not when I was on DCS. It was ok on discord.
The only screens I managed to get last night. @Freak and @tempusmurphy both survived a Strela strike and continued to fight until they RTBād for repairs
I captured 2 hueys returning from a troop drop in my Shkval probably @Scoop and @komemiute or @NEVO
Oooh man are you in for a surprise⦠Iād rate myself as marginally competent at best for anything that involves button pushing in the heloās. I think I burnt all that our years ago learning the KA-50 in BS1, and ever since I am a big fan of auto starts, reflector sights, and rockets.
Iām really happy you guys are doing this ![]()
Iāll see if I can by some miracle join at some point, see how bad the lag is and how the time zones pan out. Would love to fly with you guys.
A heads up for the next instalment.
The misfits, drunks and psychotics that make up the mercenary unit known as the Mudspike Rotary club are raring to go again. The big paycheck for taking over Saipan airport is dwarfed by the loot on offer for the next phase of this campaign.
We basically need to breakthrough the fortified line they have set up across the entire island.
Once the line is broken and the AAA threats have been thinned out the primary objective is destroying the C&C bunker on the highest point of the island and establishing a troop presence on the high ground
