Very cool mission IMHO. Science fiction coming to life.
Has the agency contacted Will Smith & Jeff Goldblum yet?
Wheels
Wheels… Look here for a sec.
Nasa invited Bruce Willis to the launch, but he declined.
(been there done that I guess )
Shack!
Did they miss the live coverage? We were watching some NASA talking heads yammer away and then the sheepish recent-journalism-school-grad host awkwardly offered, “let’s show the replay”.
My whole family screamed, “REPLAY! Why didn’t you show it LIVE!”
They did show it live in the stream I linked to.
There was a new picture from the probe every couple of seconds.
Sorry, I linked to it a bit late, the stream was running for quite some time (2 hours, but most of it was boring) and I only posted it 5 minutes before impact for some reason.
Nice video of the impact as seen from Earth (DART not visible of course):

On the stream we were watching, they broke away 7 minutes prior to impact to interview Ben Nelson (NASA Admin) with no picture-in-picture feed. 5 minutes after impact they came back with “let’s watch the replay!” Uuugh
Pretty amazing watching this last night. Sorry that I didn’t link. Literally turned it on about 30 seconds before impact.
